Morning Star Espresso

What I got was five minutes of calm in the middle of a chaotic day. The barista greeted me like I wasn’t just another car in line. Eye contact. A real smile. The kind where you can tell they actually enjoy being there. That alone is rare these days. The espresso? Smooth. No bitterness, no burnt taste — just rich, balanced flavor. You could actually taste the beans instead of just sugar and milk. My drink was made exactly how I ordered it, and it came out fast without feeling rushed. That’s a skill. And here’s the thing: a drive-thru could easily feel transactional. This one didn’t. It felt personal. Like a small-town coffee hut that remembers your order after a couple visits and asks how your week’s going — even if they’ve got ten cars behind you. Coffee shops aren’t just about caffeine. They’re tiny daily reset buttons. And this place understands that. If you want a drive-thru that treats you like a person, not a receipt number — this is it. I’ll absolutely be back.

Fantastic place to stop for a good cup of coffee. They remembered my order after 2 visits (probably because of my horse dog, ferret and goat). They always have cookies for horse dog and a smile

Got coffee there every morning for years before I ever walked through the door as a barista. The coffee beans are hands-down the best and the price is lower than anywhere on the peninsula.

Usually the coffee is mediocre but gets the job done. But today I was given a solid cup of mush, absolutely undrinkable. It’s not just very foamy it is legitimate baby food texture mush in a 24 oz cup. Drink quality is never consistent here and I won’t be going back.
