Field & Fire Cafe
820 Monroe Ave NW #100, Wyoming, MI
Crema's Take
“This cozy cafe just outside downtown Grand Rapids has earned its stellar reputation through meticulous execution—their baked goods are genuinely flawless, and the farm-to-table breakfast and lunch items like asparagus toast show real thoughtfulness alongside reliably excellent coffee. The vibe is unhurried and welcoming, designed for lingering over a latte and pastry or gathering with friends, with the kind of warmth that keeps people coming back whether they're visiting the cafe itself or hunting down Field & Fire's pastries at the farmers market. It's the sort of place where every detail, from the aroma when you walk in to the quality of each bite, feels intentional and genuinely cared for.”

I was drawn here by the descriptions of their wonderful baked goods. I stopped in and can confirm that they are as good as advertised. The pastries are flavorful and executed flawlessly. We also tried their breakfast burritos, and they are as good as any I have had. I couldn’t find anything wrong with them: they are packed with flavorful ingredients, the different components are dispersed well throughout the burrito, and they held together. The sauces packed a punch too! I picked up a couple loaves of bread too, and am looking forward to trying those!
Field & Fire Cafe is hands down the most amazing spot in Grand Rapids! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the aroma of fresh-baked pastries and hearty, farm-to-table dishes that just scream quality. I absolutely love their food—everything from the savory sandwiches to those flaky, buttery croissants is spot on and made with such care. The service here is outstanding; the staff is friendly, efficient, and always makes you feel welcome. A special shoutout to the wonderful lady who cooks my meals every time—she’s incredibly sweet, remembers my order, and nails it perfectly without fail. It’s that personal touch that keeps me coming back. If you’re in Grand Rapids, this is a must-stop, but plan to swing by before 3pm to catch them at their best. Whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee and pastry or sitting down for a full meal, Field & Fire never disappoints. Five stars all the way!
I have always loved Field & Fire. I buy baked goods from them everytime I go to the Fulton Street Farmers Market, but I had never been to the Cafe until yesterday. I was very impressed, the set up was beautiful and the seating was comfortable! I got a peppermint mocha cruffin and it was delicious, they do croissants very very well! Once the next semester starts I will definitely be frequenting the cafe to study and chill :)
Field & Fire Cafe is a cool little spot just outside of downtown Grand Rapids. They’ve got a solid menu with great options for both breakfast and lunch, and the food was really good. It wasn’t too busy even on a weekend, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable experience. They also serve coffee and have a nice selection of desserts if you’re just looking for a quick treat. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and want something a bit more low-key with quality food.
We’re crazy for this place! Excellent latte and coffee, amazing baked goods, and such yummy breakfast items. We shared the asparagus toast one morning, and wow! So good. We’ll be back one day.
