Crema's Take

Tucked inside Schuler Books, Chapbook Cafe strikes that rare balance of being both a genuine third space for lingerers and a bookstore bonus that actually gets the coffee right—their drinks are worth the slight premium, and the fireplace-warmed rooms with plenty of seating make it easy to settle in for hours with a book and a pastry. The staff genuinely seem to care about getting orders right and making you comfortable, which shows in the cozy, unhurried atmosphere that keeps people coming back whether they're meeting a friend, working on a laptop, or just browsing books between sips.

Looking for a book and got a book. Didn't stay for coffee or treat.

This is a cozy spot to meet up for a meal or coffee. There are plenty of tables and a fireplace in the winter. Our food was ready in just a few minutes and it was delicious.

Hmm, don't you think it's too much too low neck line and too much open skin on the back ? I would say its completely unacceptable dress code.

Waited just about 20 minutes for a hot chocolate and a Red eye. No one else in line. Four staff members walking around behind the counter. Staff asked multiple times what we ordered. And even then, forgot whip on the hot chocolate and didn’t have flavored coffee ready when they pulled the shot for the red eye. Hot chocolate wasn’t hot enough and the coffee tasted old. We were surprised at how bad of an experience it was.

Great cozy environment in a quiet location. The drinks in the cafe are a bit pricey but they are delicious. The people are friendly and helpful. The bookstore it's attached too it's stocked with many books to keep you busy while you have a drink or enjoy a snack.
