Crema's Take

This beloved family-owned bakery brings its famous bread-baking expertise to a cozy Heights location, where you can pair exceptional pastries and quiches with thoughtfully made coffee in a space that invites lingering conversation. The staff's genuine warmth and the quality of both their traditional espresso drinks and cold brew create the kind of neighborhood spot where regulars become frequent visitors and first-timers immediately want to return. It's the rare breakfast destination that gets both the pastries and the coffee equally right, making it worth seeking out whether you're new to the area or a longtime fan of their original location.

We had the quiche and Angela’s breakfast, and everything was delicious. If you’re looking for an amazing breakfast, this is definitely the place to go. The iced latte was especially good!

New to the area, I stopped to grab coffee for the first time at the shop across the street. While there, I noticed the retail shop connected to this place and thought it would be cool to check it out. We then saw this bakery offering food and coffee, so I placed an order and walked around while waiting. The owner rudely approached me and asked that I pour my drink into one of their cups so no one would think outside food or coffee was allowed. Instead of supporting neighboring businesses that bring in more customers, this interaction felt unnecessarily unwelcoming.

The staff is super friendly, the pastries, and coffee are some of the best I’ve had in the area. I’m very excited to refer clients here as well as come by more often than I should! Definitely a great vibe & super yummy!

Had been to Angela's on Aurora St. and liked their bread (they were only open on weekends at the time). Found out about this location and wanted to try it. This location shares the building with a kind of boutique. Angela's part was not so big but they had some good choices of bread and also cofee and drinks. There are a couple parking spaces behind the building, which was good for me. It looks like both locations are open more days during the week now. Must be a nice location for people who live nearby. Would like to go again.

Angela's Oven has done it again! Their newly opened satellite location, within The Heights Petite Shoppe, is an extension of the family-owned bakery we've all come to love. While this spot doesn't serve the full breakfast menu found at their main location in Sunset Heights, it still delivers the same heart and quality that make Angela's Oven a true gem in Houston. Currently in its soft opening phase until February 2025, this location serves coffee, pastries, and baked goods--perfect for a light breakfast, midday pick-me-up, or an afternoon snack. Their soft opening hours are Wednesday-Friday from 7 am - 6 pm and Saturday-Sunday from 8 am - 6 pm, making it a great spot for both early risers and those looking for an afternoon bite. The cozy setup inside The Heights Petite Shoppe, run by expat families from France, creates a unique atmosphere. The combination of art, gifts, and freshly baked goods makes this spot feel like a mini escape. The spacious outdoor patio offers plenty of seating, and there's even a private parking lot in the back. As always, the pastries are exceptional. Their chocolate croissant is buttery and flaky, and it pairs with a well-crafted cup of coffee. I also recommend keeping an eye out for seasonal baked goods as they expand their offerings throughout their soft opening including quiches and more. Angela and Jerry Shawn's dedication to quality and community shines through at this new spot. It's clear that their passion for baking and creating meaningful connections hasn't wavered, even as they expand. Whether you're a long-time fan of Angela's Oven or a first-time visitor, this new location is worth checking out. Grab a coffee, indulge in a pastry, and enjoy a peaceful moment on the patio--you won't be disappointed!
