Crema's Take
“Bellachino's is a beloved Chico institution where locals keep coming back for both the consistently excellent coffee and the inventive signature drinks like the CinnaBean that show real care in execution. The cozy vibe works equally well for a quick caffeine grab or a leisurely morning—their tiny walled patio and friendly, efficient service create the kind of welcoming atmosphere that inspires multi-year loyalty, even from customers who've moved out of state. From their creative breakfast menu to their reliable pastries and full morning fare, this is the kind of neighborhood cafe that earns a 4.5-star rating through genuine hospitality and attention to detail.”

This cafe is cozy and always gets drinks out fast, even during a rush(near a highschool). The food is always top notch. You can sit inside or outside in a tiny walled patio. Worth a try for any early morning adventure.
I’ve been a Bellachino’s regular for as long as I can remember now, even after I moved all the way to Minnesota. After visiting for the holidays a couple months ago I decided I would no longer be a regular at this cafe after seeing the changes made. When I discovered that Bellachino’s was under new ownership it all made sense, the creativity and quality sacha brought to the table was missing. For starters, one of the most exciting parts about Bellachino’s used to be its pastry case. What used to be filled with unique homemade muffin flavors, fresh chocolate chip cookies, warm cinnamon rolls, and sometimes a weekly surprise pastry has now been replaced with dry breads, decent coffee cake, and winco muffins. Yes, they are winco I know those double chocolate muffins from anywhere as I used to buy those for my kids because they were so affordable, a 6 pack for $4 was hard to beat but Bellachino’s sells a singular winco muffin for $3.50. Not to mention they always seem to be understaffed and the workers seem to be to stressed in order to properly greet and serve and instead focused on finding a balance moving from one station to another. It’s really disappointing to see a business focus on profitability rather than quality and productivity because of that they have lost a customer!
Bellachinos has been a long time favorite of mine. But my most recent experience(1/1/26) left more to be desired. They changed the huevos wrap. One big flip of egg in half, and the other ingredients on the other half. Not only is it shaped and cut different making it harder to hold and eat, but it’s lacking flavor and substance. Only 1 single black bean in the first half of the wrap. No bell pepper to be seen.
What a delightful experience. Both of our beverages, Cappachino and CinnaBean, were prepared perfectly. The service was inviting, personable, and excellent. Their breakfast menu of pasteries and breakfast sandwiches has various selections. Definitely a place to revisit.
Wonderful dining experience. We were greeted immediately upon entering, service was quick and the food and coffee were delicious. I ordered the Piggly Wiggly on an Asiago bagel, and my partner ordered an Early Bird! The cold brew hit the spot! The staff was attentive and friendly!
