Crema's Take

Little Louie's is a beloved Richmond neighborhood spot where espresso drinks are taken seriously and the atmosphere practically glows with warm, attentive service that keeps regulars coming back. The menu shines with fresh, quality ingredients across everything from expertly-pulled cappuccinos to inventive sandwiches and house-made pastries, best enjoyed at a leisurely pace in their inviting outdoor seating area. It's the kind of place where families linger over breakfast and friends settle in for unhurried conversations, backed by beautiful music and genuine hospitality.

Disappointing to say, but keep a watchful eye when eating here. They prepare food without gloves, and nibble while touching people's food. I once observed a sandwich being made (again without gloves), and there was a piece of lunch meat hanging from the side. The woman pulled that piece of dangling meat and ate it. The problem, because of the work I do (deal strictly in facts), because she turned her back blocking from being seen, I didn't actually see it go into her mouth, but she did raise her hand to her mouth, the hanging meat now gone, she was now chewing, then licked the moist flavor from her fingertips, while continuing to handled someone's sandwich without washing her hands or gloves. Now, this time with a clear view, again, making sandwiches without gloves, two of the Latina women are conversing having a good time while one is actually eating while preparing food while other is comfortable watching, then she even goes back for another little serving. When I complained, the two women rushed toward the back and went into the large walk-in fridge. Clearly this is a regular thing because they felt so comfortable doing it. My question:: Is it the women's fault for having bad unsanitary habits, or Little Louie's for not properly training, and, allowing the behavior---because they're doing this in front of all the other workers, even the manager, and nobody is saying anything? I'm asking because as paid customers, should we not be treated better than this and allowed to be the first to taste the food on our plates? One would think!

First time here today for lunch, I usually go to the Point Richmond Market for my sandwiches but decided to try a different spot. My real complaint is how my order was taken. I told the lady I wanted a BLT and before I got to tell her no mayo she was already about to hand me the ticket. Well, I wanted more than just no mayo, I wanted to add a few other toppings such as jalapenos, light tomato and extra lettuce, but she didnt give me time to add that. I also wanted to let her know not toasted, but again, felt rushed and she didn'teven ask if I wanted to order anything else. Didn't wait long for my sandwich, maybe 5 mins with a few orders ahead of me. Food was meh, bacon was soft and greasy, tomatoes were "mealy", bread was burnt. Had I gotten the chance to order it the way I usually order my BLT, who knows, maybe it would be a different review. I gave it a try tho. Ill stick with Point Richmond Market for their sandwiches.

I love everything on the menu. Fresh ingredients and food prepared and expertly delivered to your table. Great cappuccinos, sandwiches, and pastries. Their soups and salads are great too. I especially love the Caesar salad with chicken added. Their clam chowder is excellent.

Wonderful atmosphere. The workers are so nice and equally as wonderful. Beautiful music, beautiful vibes. The sandwiches are yummy if you are on the go to explore the rest of the town.

We are in from out of town and had the pleasure of eating here for breakfast and lunch. The food is high quality, cooked perfectly and SO GOOD! It took a while -20-30 min but they were super busy and cooked everything fresh so I can’t complain. It was worth the wait!!!
