Provisions

102 Walnut St, Chattanooga, TN

★★★★4.3(39 Google reviews)

Crema's Take

Nestled inside a hotel near the iconic Walnut Street Bridge, Provisions punches well above its weight with genuinely exceptional cappuccinos featuring fruity notes and pastries that reviewers can't stop raving about. The barista team brings a warm, welcoming energy to this espresso-focused spot that opens early and offers thoughtful pour overs alongside creative specialty drinks, all at prices that feel refreshingly fair for the quality you're getting. It's the kind of place where the staff actually seems to care about their craft—one barista was even experimenting with different brewing methods during visits—making it feel more like a carefully curated coffee destination than just a hotel lobby coffee bar.

Walked in and was met with the sweetest energy by their barista. The cappuccinos she served us had fruity notes and were a perfect start to this new year. Thank you, Asriel!

Provisions is the best coffee shop I've been to in chatt - their prices are so much better than the other places I've been, the staff is friendly and quick to serve, and the pastries are to die for. I personally love the raspberry pastries, but I have liked every one I've tried. Definitely recommend even if you aren't staying at the hotel

I wouldn’t come back. Sadly, this really is just a coffee bar. I stopped by as they had a sign outside stating they have wifi. I needed to get some work done. Upon stopping in, I noticed there was only really like two tables in the lobby area of the hotel to work from. Neither of which had anywhere to plug in. I asked for a cappuccino and the barista said they didn’t have milk. Excuse me? You’re a coffee shop inside a hotel. How? If the intent is to get more foot traffic by locals in the area, you’re not doing a good job. There’s nowhere to work from. The table itself was dirty with coffee stains. The cappuccino I did receive was okay, but served in a disposable cup. Any time anything is served in a disposable cup, the message you’re sending is “we don’t want you here, leave.” The baristas just hid in the back the whole time. The host was on her phone the entire time. The coffee itself was okay but nothing amazing.

Absolutely great place to get coffee! This shop is located inside of a hotel but still is great small coffee shop to go to. The barista there was testing different ways of making coffee and giving it the tests to customers to try. Also asked me a few more questions than usual to try and find a latte that would suit me. The atmosphere isn’t the best compared to others but the location and coffee are incomparable to a lot of cafes I have been to.

Great coffee shop in a great location! The vibe inside is super cool and it is literally right beside the Walnut Street Bridge! They are plenty of drinks to choose from and plenty of flavors! They also have great seasonal drinks that are great! The staff was friendly. The parking is a little hard in the area but not the shops fault. Definitely recommend!
