Luzianne Cafe
481 Girod St, New Orleans, LA
Crema's Take
“Luzianne Cafe is a buzzy neighborhood breakfast spot in New Orleans where you'll find yourself humming along to '80s and 2000s hits while waiting in a quick-moving line to order at the counter. The real draw here is their remarkably solid biscuit sandwiches—the bacon, egg and cheese gets consistent raves—paired with genuinely good sides like creamy grits and house-made gravy, all delivered with genuine warmth from staff who actually care about pointing you toward what's good. Bright, clean, and family-friendly with plenty of seating, it's the kind of place where locals and travelers alike grab an unhurried but efficient breakfast before heading out into their day.”

There's a bright and open first-come first-serve dining area with a fast-moving line and '80s-2000s hits playing on the radio, all well known and good songs. The bacon, egg and cheese biscuit sandwich was delicious in itself, but I slathered it in a small side cup of their gravy, transforming it into something absolutely amazing. Fabulous biscuits, unbelievably meaty and savory gravy, and a self-serve coffee bar similar to Panera, except that they have offerings like French Market chicory-coffee mix and Guatemalan. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.
Soooo good! Stopped in on a Sunday morning around 8 am before catching our cruise. I had the biscuit sandwich with bacon and my husband got the eye opener breakfast. We added a side of gravy to share..It was so good!!..Like pour it over pasta good! Everything we saw at other tables looked very good also. Super friendly staff and very clean. 100 % recommend
A quick search for breakfast and walking distance from our hotel brought us here. Customer service was good. You order your food and pick your own seat. The grits were good. Simple but tasty. I enjoyed the shrimp po boy. They were fried well. We’re not locals and wanted to try some beignets. They were terrible. Just fried puffed up dough and empty on the inside. I was so disappointed I forgot to take a picture to explain what we saw.
Excellent little breakfast spot. Staff was very friendly and our food came out quickly. Cute atmosphere, bright and clean, with plenty of seating available. The morning joy biscuit sandwich was very tasty!
Solid place. First the staff was very friendly and talked about menu suggestions. Orders were double cheeseburger (2), Po Boy Sandwich and omelette. Double cheeseburger wasn't too bad but was a bit on the salty side for my taste. Po Boy was a healthy size but also a bit on the salty side. Omelette was a good portion but didn't sample that. Red beans were a pretty good size bowl overall taste was good. Family of four with a Mimosa was around $80 with two sides and a drink which was a bit pricey overall.
