Barista del Barrio
1002 N Grande Ave, Tucson, AZ
Crema's Take
“Barista Del Barrio is a neighborhood gem where coffee is just the beginning—come for a beautifully crafted latte and stay for their signature breakfast burritos that arrive as two perfectly portioned individual ones, each customizable with thoughtful fillings like green chili, machaca, or chorizo. The vibe is genuinely welcoming and spacious enough for lingering with friends or grabbing something quick before a hike, with a steady stream of locals who keep coming back for the honest, satisfying food that doesn't need to be fancy to be delicious. It's the kind of place that feels like part of the community rather than a tourist stop—reliable, unpretentious, and full of the kind of details that show real care.”

Got breakfast burritos before a hike, super clutch and tasty!! The burrito actually comes as two smaller individual burritos. Love that you could fully customize and build your own. I got mushroom tinga (love the veggie options!) and my boyfriend got ham. Sauces were nicely spicy. We also got two of their specialty flavored lattes. I had the horchata one and it was delicious! Wonderful experience all around. We came just after 8 am when they opened and didn’t have to wait long for our food.
I had a grilled bacon egg and cheese and green chili breakfast burrito and a latte. Both were excellent. I would go again for those two things however I got a sourdough cinnamon roll and I’m sure they’re good but this one wasn’t… It was dry and it seemed like it had been old and been sitting out and since the policy is not
It’s not one of those places where you take a bite and immediately think, “Wow, this is mind-blowingly amazing,” but it is the kind of food you can enjoy anytime without hesitation. Honestly… it’s addictive, haha. No matter how often I go even on busy weekends the place is always packed, and the food quality stays consistently good. And that’s exactly why I’ll be back again next weekend 😄
The coffee is good. The burritos are delicious. The tamale was good but has just a little piece of meet. There is enough space to sit, but isn't really clean. There is no many parking spots around.
First time visitor. Mind blown - two burritos come in every order!!! We got chorizo and machaca and both were excellent, I'd choose the machaca next time. The line was long for a Thursday at 11am, but it moved quickly and our order came out quickly once we ordered. Our iced latte (Horchesso) was also delicious. I'll be back everytime I visit Tucson. Five stars all around!
