Market Street Coffee

Crema's Take
“This multi-level Durham spot feels like a relaxed third place where you can camp out with your laptop or linger over lunch with friends, thanks to staff who actually seem happy to have you there. Beyond solid traditional coffee drinks, they're known for thoughtfully executed food that shifts throughout the day—generous salads and sandwiches at lunch, creative breakfast bowls in the morning, and even late-night cheesesteaks—plus an impressive roster of vegan options like their beloved Buddharito. It's got that same convivial, unpretentious energy as the beloved Common Market locations in Charlotte, but with its own Durham personality.”

Lots of affordable vegan options! This location is nice and multilevel, it gives similar vibes to the other locations in Charlotte! Definitely try the vegan breakfast burrito - the Buddharito!
Good food good beer. Cool lite menu that changes for time of day starting with Breakfast, the Breakfast bowls are great and finishing with late-night cheesestake pictured. Great local beer on tap and some to-go can options. Staff is always friendly and smiling. Tons after dinner entertainment, with open mic nights and robot fighting even board game and magic card and Vinyl nights. I dont drink coffee but really cool coffee bar. They also do punch cards for meals I think eat 10 get one free!
My favorite place to hang in Charlotte was the old Common Market in the South End. The Durham location has a similar vibe—of course, more Durham-y—and I’m so happy to know it exists. Staff seems awesome, especially Ian.
Lunch today with friends… the chicken salad salad was delicious! It comes with a homemade ranch dressing which was also delicious! The Billy Club was a lot of meat and definitely not skimpy! Delicious! Especially the mixed greens (not iceberg lettuce). The portions are good sized. We will definitely eat here again.
Looked up great quick bites and lunch in the area, found this gem. Parking is limited but not terrible. The guy who assisted us in ordering was very informative and attentive. We had a Cobb salad and the Pimpin’D, a pimento cheese sandwich with tomato and bacon. Both entrees were excellent. Quality ingredients, much of it locally sourced. They have sandwiches, soups, salads. Vegan friendly and GF available. Additionally there is a coffee counter as well as a bar. Ice cream next door.
