Cocoa Cinnamon
2013 Chapel Hill Rd, Durham, NC
Crema's Take
“Cocoa Cinnamon is a beloved Durham spot where espresso excellence meets irresistible churros dusted in unexpected flavor combinations like harvest cardamom and orange sugar—all made fresh throughout the day. The cafe strikes that rare balance of being serious about coffee (their pour overs are a standout) while maintaining a genuinely welcoming vibe, with generous outdoor seating perfect for lingering with your dog or getting work done without feeling rushed. It's the kind of place that gets consistently busy for good reason, where both the coffee and pastries inspire people to come back again and again.”

It was busy on a Wednesday afternoon—I snagged the last parking spot. I tried their churros, which were fresh and coated in four different flavors. The harvest and cardamom stood out with a great balance of spicy and sweet.
I always love stopping by cocoa cinnamon when i’m in durham. I love all the outdoor seating they have because i love to bring my dog! I ordered inside and got a guadalajara hot chocolate and loop churro and it was perfect for a cool fall morning. Everything came out in about 10 mins. There was also plenty of indoor seating as well
Delicious, high-quality coffee. I greatly enjoyed the pourover along with churros and orange sugar. Nice place to hang out for a bit with both indoor and outdoor seating. The table situation is a little funny with some large tables pushed together. I've never felt like the staff is overly warm, but that's ok. Parking can be tough at some times, but there were plenty of open spots on a Sunday morning.
I went during mid day so wasnt that many people such an awsome place to enjoy churros coffee and do work. I ordered 4 churros and lady accidentally gave me 8 and im not complaining at all.
It’s my first time here and I’m impressed by the quality of their coffee and the churros is so good and I love that they make it fresh. I even bought a pack of 4 to go after my first try coz it’s that good ! I’m definitely coming back! I also appreciate their service, they are all friendly, and there’s tons of seating for big groups. But just a bit loud, it’s more like a place to socialize than to have a quiet moment, study or work remotely.
