Crema's Take

Tucked away in Hollywood, this owner-operated spot radiates genuine warmth through its carefully curated drink menu—including their beloved panda latte—and a barista who treats each visit like a conversation with a friend. The vintage theatre vibes pair perfectly with comfortable seating that invites you to linger over espresso-forward creations or knock out work, though street-side parking requires a little patience. It's the kind of neighborhood coffee shop where the owner's passion for his craft becomes immediately clear, making it feel less like a transaction and more like a local discovery.

the panda latte is really really good the gentleman barista always provides exceptional service and warm hospitality. A great shop to grab coffee when in the area or if your like me getting your car serviced at the dealer next door.

Its actually perfect! Everything on the menu is something to try, the music is great, the barista/owner was incredibly welcoming. He described the menu as "his drinks," which lets me know he's curating his menu like a caring mixologist and wants the best for everyone who walks in. Gotta try this place!

I’ve never left a review like this before, but what happened here was unbelievable and completely unacceptable. The owner treated my family and me with outright disrespect the moment we walked in, and his behavior came off as discriminatory and targeted. I had already purchased a drink and was sitting with my fiancé when my cousin and his wife arrived to join us. They simply sat down next to me — not causing any issues, not taking up multiple tables, just sitting. The owner immediately walked over, demanded to know “what we were ordering,” and spoke to us with one of the rudest tones I’ve ever experienced in a business. My cousin politely asked what they offered, and instead of giving a normal answer, the owner snapped, “The menu’s up there — look.” I calmly told him they didn’t need to buy anything since I had already purchased something, and we were just sitting together while I drank my coffee. His response? “No. You have to buy something to sit here. I pay rent and you can’t just hang out for free. One purchase only allows TWO people. Anyone else has to buy something.” I have been to hundreds of coffee shops — people study, work, socialize, sit with friends who aren’t all buying drinks. I have NEVER heard such a ridiculous, made-up policy. It felt intentional the moment my cousin (who is Mexican) walked in. The attitude changed instantly, and the hostility was directed specifically at him. It was impossible to ignore and made the entire interaction feel racially motivated. Instead of welcoming customers, the owner chose to embarrass us, talk down to us, and treat us like we weren’t allowed to exist in his space unless we spent more money. We left immediately, and my fiancé was so shocked he recorded the conversation because the behavior was that outrageous. This place clearly doesn’t understand hospitality, professionalism, or basic respect. I will never return here, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values decent service or a welcoming environment. Avoid this place at all costs.

Stepped into exactly the coffee shop vibe I wanted in Hollywood. I walked in from the Hampton on Vine and it was a quick trip. Parking may be a little challenge. Ambiance is on point, a lot of selections (my bagel was pretty great) for food and drinks. Not my favorite coffee I’ve ever had but it’s far outweighed by all the other positives.

i was looking for a comfortable cafe to hangout in and was happy to stumble across this place. decently quiet with some street noise, comfy couches, handful of tables. great place to get some work done. i got a matcha latte and it was.... not good. just a cup of pale green milk. really improper matcha to milk ratio. regardless, i still plan to return when in the area just because the vibes are that good. maybe this time with a different bev order.
