Crema's Take
“Sesame is a beloved bagel destination in Hyde Park where the real magic happens in the hands of standout staff like India and Kiana, who treat every visitor like family and remember what genuine hospitality feels like. Their bacon, egg, and cheese bagels are legitimately craveable—crispy, thoughtfully made, and worth the Saturday morning rush—and the full breakfast menu pairs perfectly with their traditional coffee drinks in a warm, welcoming space ideal for lingering with friends or settling in solo. While service can be inconsistent depending on when you visit, at its best, Sesame feels like the neighborhood gathering spot where the team actually cares about making your morning special.”

We had such a great breakfast at Sesame in Tampa. India, the manager, was incredibly attentive and made sure everything about our visit was perfect. She checked in with us, made us feel genuinely welcome, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. You can really tell she cares about the guests and the overall experience. Because of her, this breakfast turned into something really memorable for us. Amazing service, great atmosphere, and a place we’re definitely looking forward to coming back to. Thanks again, India, for making it such an unforgettable experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Had to leave a review because this place seriously blew me away. Sesame Hyde Park made hands down the BEST bacon, egg, and cheese I have ever had in my life and I do not say that lightly. The bagel was perfect, everything tasted super fresh, and it was just one of those sandwiches you think about later. I also got an iced vanilla coffee, and it was spot on. Not overly sweet like most places do, just smooth and really well balanced. What really made the experience though was the staff. Everyone was friendly, but Jack in particular went above and beyond. Super attentive, great attitude, and genuinely cared that we had a good experience. You can tell when someone actually takes pride in their work, and he absolutely does. If I could hire him myself, I would. This is not a paid review or hype, just genuinely one of the best breakfast experiences I have had. 10/10, will be coming back.
Horrible customer service. I just don’t get it. You’re a bagel place…right? So eggs are kinda a staple? So you should have eggs always ready to be made? I’d say that’s a fair expectation when spending $13-15 for 1 small sandwich. We like fried eggs, not the sloppy scrambled eggs. Not a big request for a place that deals with a very simple menu, yet it is a big ask for these people that clearly don’t know what work ethic looks like. “We’re out of fried eggs at 11 am” This is a common occurrence no matter what day it is. They can make more eggs and choose not to. So I say something and the girl can’t handle a constructive conversation where I’m being very calm and polite in stating that this doesn’t make sense….she proceeds to completely shut down and ask the manager to deal with us for asking a valid question of a bagel shop. We literally asked very nicely but yes we were going to ask why they can’t make more eggs. I guess the world really is ending if these kids can’t handle any kind of genuine human interaction and can’t just say “yeah of course we can fry a few up for you guys, but it’ll be a few minutes..” That was too complicated for this young lady. I’m scared for the future.
From the moment I walked in, this bagel shop felt warm and welcoming. The bagels were absolutely delicious, but what truly made the experience special was the service. Kiana and India went above and beyond—patiently answering every question I had and serving the most colorful, seasonal drinks that were as fun as they were refreshing. Their kindness and attention made me feel genuinely cared for, not rushed. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the people leave such a lasting impression, and this spot did exactly that. I’ll definitely be back.
We decided to brave the Saturday morning rush at Sesame Bagel Shop in Hyde Park, and while it was bustling, it was definitely worth it! Arriving around 11 am, we were impressed by the speedy service. My Hyde Park sandwich on an everything bagel was packed with delicious fillings, and my husband's egg bagel with cream cheese was generously portioned and equally tasty. We enjoyed our breakfast al fresco, and both left wanting to explore more of their menu. The quality of the bagels and fillings was top-notch, and the speed of service was remarkable for such a busy time. The only slight hiccup was when we inquired about rainbow bagels. We were told they were sold out, but a fresh batch appeared just as our food arrived. A little heads-up would have been appreciated, as we would have happily waited. Despite this minor communication issue, we thoroughly enjoyed our first visit and will definitely be back to try more of their offerings. Sesame Bagel Shop is a solid choice for a tasty and efficient breakfast in Hyde Park.
