Crema's Take

El Gallito is a no-frills Honduran and Cuban breakfast spot in Miami where massive, flavorful portions and authentic home-style cooking come at prices that feel almost too good to be true. The casual, family-friendly atmosphere invites you to linger over strong coffee and specialties like baleadas and beef soup that taste genuinely fresh, though fair warning—there can be surprise upcharges at the register that aren't always clearly posted. If you're seeking genuine Central American and Caribbean flavors without pretense, this hidden gem delivers the real deal.

The place menu is not updated with pricing. They will charge you more. They will not tell you there is an upcharge for eating here. I’m never coming back. Hidden fees and charges. Paid $18 for something that should have been $12. Beware of this place!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ El Gallito Coffee Shop is a true hidden gem in the heart of Miami. Tucked away on SW 8th Ave, this no-frills spot delivers some of the best Honduran breakfast and lunch you’ll find anywhere in town. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The atmosphere is simple and unpretentious, but that’s exactly what makes it so great. It’s the kind of place where the focus is on good food and genuine service. The staff is warm, welcoming, and always attentive, making every visit feel like dining with family. If you’re craving authentic Honduran comfort food in Miami, El Gallito should be at the top of your list. A small place with big flavor and even bigger heart!

It was my first time in Miami and I wanted to try home style Honduran food and this place did not disappointed. Portions were huge, excellent prices and amazing flavor. Everything tasted so fresh you can tell they make everything there from the natural juices to the hot sauce. The girl serving me was super friendly and accommodating. Do yourself a favor and go eat there. Wait can be crazy since all locals eat there and place is very small. 100% recommended 👍👍👍

The food here is amazing, I highly recommend this place. It tastes really good, strong flavors, huge portions, perfect price. I ordered the beef soup and the baleada especial. The soup was way more filling than expected, it was full of veggies and banana and meat which was really soft and flavorful. I only had one bite of the baleada because the soup was enough for dinner 😀 it tasted really good too. My husband had the Ceibeno carne asada, it was amazing too. The staff was really friendly and helpful, the bathroom was clean spacious. I would give 6 stars if I could 👍👍
