Barrel House Cafe & Bar
1341 14th St NW, Washington, DC
Crema's Take
“Barrel House nails the dual identity of a serious cocktail bar that also does respectable coffee and brunch, with the bonus of a slick QR-code ordering system that feels genuinely useful rather than gimmicky. The vibe lands somewhere between polished neighborhood hangout and lively social hub, though execution can be uneven—some days the French toast sings, other days your Croque Madame arrives as a half-hearted sandwich. If you're in DC wanting a place that's equally good for morning coffee with a friend or evening drinks, and you don't mind a little inconsistency in exchange for reasonable happy hour prices and dog-friendly vibes, it's worth the trip.”
What to expect
Specialty coffee, with creative signature drinks. A slow-sit, outdoor seating spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast and light food on the menu. Dog friendly. Parking available.

Stumbled upon this cute cafe and bar while on a Sunday walk and I highly recommend it. I had breakfast (French toast) and it was amazing! It’s in a great location right off 14th Street NW in D.C. There was a dope, chill vibe and a great eclectic music selection they play.

One of the best bars in US! Very high tech! Very pleasant vibe, great service, u order your drinks from the table( qr code ) this place deserves more good reviews and more loyal customers! Great place!!!
Awesome happy hour spot!! The cocktails are so good, have a great pour and for 7$ the elderflower g+t was just what we were looking for. The wings are a little wimpy size wise but they tasted great. Also recommend the ceviche. We sat outside and after a long day of walking…
