Spielbound

This USED to be mine and my husbands favorite place to go hangout for date nights. After lastnight I will be going elsewhere. We dont get to come out often, so when we do, we love to sit, enjoy the atmosphere, grab a game (we usually buy one) and sit for a few hours to enjoy the food and good times. Yesterday was anything but that. We walk inside, barely greeted as always. Its busy which is awesome, the dude behind the counter barely wants to know me but takes my order anyway and we walk around looking at the board games to purchase. Not realizing what was about to happen. Once we get our drinks, we head off to find a spot to sit. There is no where to sit (well, there was, ill be getting to that). I guess trivia night on Wednesday nights. They take up half of the whole building, which is fine but then there's hardly anywhere to sit. There were 2 DND games going on and others there. There were 3 EMPTY tables with reserved spots on them (empty for over 30 minutes at this point) and so we asked where to sit. The dude behind the counter basically told us there's nothing he could do and that trivia night was on Wednesday, like that meant anything to me or my husband who at 9 at night now had no where to go and play our board games. We stood infront of the counter drinking our coffees quickly so we could find somewhere to enjoy the rest of our night. Needless to say we ended up going to Monster Cafe. If youre going to run a business and be clique-y about it, then post on your front door the nights youll be busy (like Wednesday Trivia nights) so those of us who only have date nights every so often can find somewhere else to go. I would've happily spent $100 or more like I always do, but I refuse to support a business where I can't even find a place to sit down for an hour.

This place is fantastic! Incredibly reasonable price per person to play, really deep selection of games, and a nice range of drinks and snacks while you are there. They also got a decent selection of games for purchase, and the staff is wonderful. Only minor complaint is that there aren't a lot of tables, but we didn't have an issue getting a spot.

We had a great time! The place is a bit run-down, including restrooms. However, we appreciated the variety of games available. It wasn’t exactly cheap, with a $7 cover per person plus the cost of beverages and food, but since you can stay as long as you want, it is still reasonable. I do wish they had more sweet options like cakes and pastries.

This is a true gem!!! Whoever thought of this idea is a genius! It is so much fun! We came here after state wrestling and it was just what we needed! They have so many game!! I think over 3000(don't quote me,but there's alot!!) Card games, board games, trivia games, I mean everything!!!! It was $7 a person and that let's you play any of their games they have! They have food and drinks to enjoy while you play! We had some snack foods, and drinks. But my family really had a great time here! There was no time limit on how long you can stay and play, so $7 per person, I think, is great! Staff so friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back here again! My 13 year old son loved it as did the rest of my family!

Spielbound is a great place to play board games with friends! One can play one of the many games they have in their library or bring their own. In addition to the generous seating arrangements, there are two party rooms that can be reserved. The games are sold at a very competitive price and they can special order anything that is not available in store. The menu offers a good selection of food for lunch and dinner, and they have drinks for any taste: hot, cold, and adult beverages too!
