Crema's Take

Tucked behind Panda East in downtown Hadley, Masuda's is a warmly lit refuge that blends specialty coffee and thoughtfully prepared South Asian-inspired cuisine, from perfectly spiced boulani to fresh mango smoothies that taste like the fruit itself. The cozy, friendly atmosphere makes it equally suited for a solo work session with your laptop or lingering over breakfast with friends, with reviewers consistently praising both the quality of the food and the care that goes into seasoning everything just right.

Very nice place to eat, drink coffee/tea, and hang out. The lighting and decor build a warm atmosphere, and the food is tasty (if a bit pricey). Amherst needed a cozy cafe downtown and Masuda's fills that niche well.

I finally tried this new cafe tucked behind Panda East. Early OCT but 86 degrees so I got the mango smoothie. So good, not too sweet, obviously a fresh mango as the main ingredient. A cozy, friendly atmosphere. If it were cooler I would try one of the amazing sounding chai drinks. Great outdoor space too. What a pleasant surprise! Update late OCT, 50, rainy. I got the saffron tea, maple scone and "deluxe date." This place is so yummy.

Beautiful space, delicious food! We had the South Asian sampler and Avocado toast. The sampler had 4 large pieces of flatbread and 3 beef patties with yogurt along with a generous salad. Incredibly good together! The avocado toast was excellent- bread was really tasty. Pistachio cardamom latte and saffron tea were also really good. Unique breakfast - with a great vibe. We will be back!

Amazing food and service! I’ve grown up eating a lot of boulani (fried tortilla-like dish with potatoes and leaks inside) but Masuda’s were some of the best I’ve had. Everything was incredibly seasoned (especially the meat 🤤) and the vegetables in the salad were so fresh! And the atmosphere was cool too, with beautiful wallpaper, plants, paintings, and both outdoor and indoor seating.

First visit and it didn’t disappoint. We had spicy tomato with egg, carrot cake, and classic North American breakfast. The food was delicious, and the spice level was perfect as well. The atmosphere and the staff were super friendly. Definitely worth the visit and highly recommended.
