Cafe Mimosa

Crema's Take
“Café Mimosa is a neighborhood favorite that shines brightest when you settle in for a leisurely breakfast surrounded by warm, attentive staff—regulars rave about their corned beef hash and potato skins, and the place has that genuine "gem" quality where locals feel like they belong. While consistency seems to be a work in progress (some mornings the French toast lands perfectly, other times it misses), the genuine hospitality and family-friendly vibe keep people coming back, especially if you're looking for a spot where you can linger over coffee without feeling rushed.”

What a gem of a restaurant in the neighborhood! Warm friendly faces soon as you walk in, great service, clean place and the food and presentation was 10/10. Will definitely be back!!
I would have to say dining here yesterday was sub-par. Their breakfast meals are not that great. Their french toast was hard, how? French toast is moist.... I have had better breakfast dishes in other restaurants than this. Their fish on their fish n chips does not have any seasoning, its bland. Try some other breakfast diner, not here.
I got the potato skins and corned beef hash. Both were incredible! Service was also great. There wasn’t a wait and I was seated immediately. I highly recommend this restaurant. I’m a regular here. It’s my favorite brunch spot in all of California!!
I was really disappointed with my visit to Café Mimosa. The food arrived cold and completely tasteless, which already set a bad tone for the meal. The service didn’t help either. Our server made us feel rushed and pressured to order quickly, even though the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy. For the quality, the prices are way too high. The final straw was discovering they charged $2.00 for a single teaspoon of sour cream. Absolutely ridiculous. Overall, Cafe Mimosa was a total letdown in every way… poor food, poor service, and overpriced. I won’t be returning, and I don’t recommend it.
We ended up at this lovely spot unexpectedly due to car trouble—and what a pleasant surprise! The place was packed, which immediately gave us confidence that we were in for a good meal. I ordered the Chilaquiles, and they were so good my son nearly finished my plate—we definitely should’ve ordered two! He had the pancakes, and my husband went with a classic combo of eggs, bacon, and potatoes. But the real standout? The Chilaquiles topped with over-easy eggs and served with beans on the side. Absolutely delicious and memorable!
