Teal House Coffee And Bakery
2304 South Congress Ave, Austin, TX
Crema's Take
“This beloved Austin spot has earned serious cinnamon roll credentials with their perfectly balanced, just-iced pastries that locals rave about, though their coffee is equally solid and worth the visit on its own. The casual, family-friendly vibe with cute outdoor seating overlooking downtown makes it an ideal spot to linger over breakfast, and their full menu of fresh pastries and breakfast items means you'll leave genuinely satisfied. Fair warning: the parking lot is tight and service moves with quiet efficiency, so come early and settle in—this place rewards those who don't rush.”

Ordered online. Great flavor cinnamon roll. Smaller than others but light and fresh. Parking is small and tight.
I am on a quest to find the best cinnamon roll in Austin, and the one from Teal House is up there. It has the perfect balance of cinnamon and just enough icing. Mine was fresh out of the oven, and I almost started doing cartwheels from excitement. I also had the Andi croissant roll which had a delicate crunch. Love the vibes here and can't wait to visit again!
COFFEE - Great! Quick. Exactly what we were looking for. BAKERY - Fantastic! The cinnamon role was divine. SERVICE - Speedy to a point of fault. It’s okay to wait a bit - they 3 people taking orders for a line of 7ish people. They asked for our order before we could see the menu. This mentality of get people coffee as fast as humility possible made the space a bit cold. If you’re expecting a nice experience with your barista and a cozy shop, look elsewhere. They are focused on speed. If you’re looking for good coffee and appreciate speed - this shop is for you!
Amazing pastries and breakfast-food items. You won’t go hungry here! Great coffee too. And a super cute spot that has a nice outdoor seating area w/ a view of downtown.
Oh My! The Crème Brûlée Cinnamon Roll was incredible! Warm, perfect amount of icing, thin crispy top layer…yum! Sad it’s not an exertion but glad I was able to try it. Other regular cinnamon roll and breakfast tacos were good too. We both enjoyed our first visit and look forward to going again. A few other notes… friendly and helpful staff, had to wipe our own table before sitting down, parking is difficult as it faces towards exciting out the “back “ but construction was blocking the exit so had to back out onto Congress. Still going back though!
