Crema's Take
“Tucked into a tree-shaded corner in Sacramento, this cozy spot pairs thoughtfully crafted coffee drinks with surprisingly excellent tacos and pupusas, creating an unexpectedly delightful fusion that keeps locals coming back. The owner-led warmth and genuinely kind staff transform what could be a simple coffee shop into a gathering place where you'll linger longer than planned, especially if you catch their spicy house salsa—reviewers can't stop raving about it.”

It has been a while since a coffee shop blew me away. The restaurant is in a lovely corner surrounded by trees and shade. We were greeted by the owner and she was incredibly sweet, immediately made recommendations and gave us a detailed explanation of their drinks and what to expect. Overall the entire staff was very friendly. Now the FOOD was incredibly delicious, easily the BEST pupusas we’ve ever had, they have an assortment of salsas so of course we tried them all and everything was 1000/10. Coffee was also amazing, I’m positive they use high quality coffee, they have very unique and creative drinks. I’d absolutely visit again, I’ve told all my close friends and family about this place. Must try! You will be blown away, trust me.
While on vacation, visited with my daughter and I had a chai latte with almond milk and a popusa! Both were great but their spicy salsa, is the best! I will definitely come back again!
I had an over all pleasant experience here. The staff was super kind and friendly. The cafe is fairly small but had a nice vibe to it thanks to the staff. Although I would not recommend the cafe de olla. It honestly just tasted like black coffee to me and lack the flavor I expect from cafe de olla. Would definitely go back to try the other drinks they offer tho!
The place is cute, but I wasn’t impressed with the pupusas. They don’t offer many options, and since the pupusas aren’t made fresh on the spot, it takes away from the authentic experience. The burrito was small for the price, and the coffee was just okay. On the positive side, the staff was friendly, and the place was very clean.
Absolutely love coming here! Their tacos, papusas and drinks are all so delicious and such great combinations. Not to mention the salsa that comes with the tacos and papusas is so incredible. You can tell all the food and drinks are all made with high quality ingredients. The service is great too, everyone has been so friendly and helpful and food/drinks come out pretty quick. They also have both indoor and outdoor seating with picnic benches & chairs outside. Also dog friendly which is great. Only 1 downside we’ve experienced is once we came later in the day and they ran out of tacos so now we just aim to come by 11am and it’s never been an issue since. Cannot recommend this place enough, it’s a staple of midtown for sure!
