Iris was quite the experience. We had heard such great things! Beautiful ambiance- food was delicious- we had the special bagel of the day. The pour over was delicious and perhaps not my favorite blend but definitely left me wanting to come back to try something else!
I basically go here at least once a week. The atmosphere is great, and the staff are amazing. I tend to alternate between multiple coffee shops in Raleigh. When it comes to Iris, I think its great that they have great interior, baristas, and selection of food. They rotate their coffee espresso at times, so it's cool checking in and seeing what they have brewing. Definitely recommend a mocha, matcha, or their seasonal drinks.
This coffee shop is 100% true to the craft. Had a great convo with Aiden and his knowledge was exceptional. Besides the regular cafe latte, the jasmine mini matcha was a great option ☕️🍵
My boyfriend and I are going on a self created coffee crawl and this was the first spot on our list. We got the Butterscotch bourbon latte and the jasmine mini matcha. Both were incredible and some of the best matcha/lattes I’ve ever had!! Would recommend! On a side note, those who come here for working may have a hard time finding a spot to sit and the noise level is a little loud. To me the coffee and matcha outweigh that :))
From the second I walked in, I knew this place was different. The vibe hits you right away, clean white interior, almost like a modern hideaway basement, paired with chill, hipster-jazzy music humming through the space with this warm, full bass. It felt creative, relaxed, and just effortlessly cool. The room smelled like fresh food, plants everywhere, and college kids tucked into corners doing homework. It instantly feels like somewhere you want to stay awhile. My coffee came first, hand delivered by a young guy with a mustache who carried it over like it was something sacred. No rush, no attitude just humble, smooth service. And the coffee? Perfect. But the real star of the show: the avocado toast. I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the best I’ve ever had. When they brought it out, it was literally dripping with honey in the best way possible. Every bite was insane. The toppings came together like a masterpiece: creamy avocado, tangy feta, peppery arugula, fresh red onions, and this kiss of balsamic that tied everything together. Me and my girl were honestly surprised at how good it was. We ended up talking about it the whole time because it’s rare something simple is done that perfectly. I never sprint to leave reviews ever but this spot earned it. It’s officially my new favorite place. If you haven’t been, go. And get the avocado toast. Trust me. **Special shout out to the staff of coolest bros.
