Crema's Take
“This Centro location is a neighborhood gem where skilled baristas craft traditional Italian espresso drinks and creative specialty beverages with genuine care, backed by reviews praising their exceptional customer service and willingness to customize. The cozy café pairs quality coffee with surprisingly good panini sandwiches and light breakfast fare, making it an ideal spot whether you're grabbing a quick espresso or settling in for a leisurely morning. While some longtime customers have concerns about menu changes at newer locations, this shop maintains a warm, welcoming vibe that keeps regulars coming back.”

Place used to be great til I saw they were getting a new menu at the new dead location. Biggest mistake they ever made. Everything is processed now and there selling wraps and calling them panini's. When I order a panini I expect bread not spinach tortilla (This is false advertising) I especially expect them to warn me when I have been coming here for 15 years. Man you guys really ran this place to the ground all just because you didn't wanna cook :( that's so sad.
I recently moved here and started going to this coffee shop. Overall, everything has been tasty and nice, but yesterday there was a different girl at the counter and instead of making the iced coffee (which I always order here), she made a strange mixture where the bottom of the cup was hot and the top was filled with ice. And it was even served in a cup meant for cold drinks. Total disappointment.
This is an absolute favorite coffee shop of ours in Long Beach. The staff is incredibly skilled, and wrote the book on customer service. We’ve never had a bad experience there. Overall, the coffee is on point, and perfectly brewed. Espresso is pulled just right, and the food is dialed in and presented with purpose. The location is really easy to get to, and we enjoyed their outdoor patio in addition to indoor seating once things cooled off a little bit. This is a great location to stop by on your way to the cruise port, especially if you’re up for a small walk across the bridge over to the cruise area. There are great bathrooms shared in the main building, and you just need a key from the cashier if the coffee shop. The food is incredibly great tasting, and healthy and fresh. They have a variety of alcohol, gelato, pastries, full menu for food, and of course great coffee.
really luv this small cafe :) the panini sandwiches were sooo good and crunchy. we got the toscano and the breakfast one. the worker was super friendly and she was accomodating making a custom drink. sat outside and the atomosphere was amazing. wish i lived here i would come here all the time! mahalo
We arrived at the Catalina Express a little early, and we were starving. We wanted to grab lunch before heading to Catalina Island. The agents said that there was a café within walking distance of the parking garage, but they did remember the name. When we walked there, we discovered Aroma di Roma Centro. My wife and I decided to split a meatball panini. We were blown away! The meatballs were made fresh, and they used fresh mozzarella with a delicious red sauce! If this sandwich is representative of the rest of the menu, this needs to be your goto stop prior to leaving for Catalina Island!!
