Crema's Take

This beloved Missoula institution wins people over with genuinely exceptional espresso and pour overs that inspire visitors to buy bags to take home, paired with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels like a local gathering spot without pretension. The early-morning crowd knows what they're after—skilled coffee craftsmanship and a comfortable space to linger or meet friends—though the food offerings seem to divide opinion more than the consistently praised coffee itself.

My husband and I LOVE this place. I don’t usually drink coffee but I will here. It’s so good. We always get several bags of coffee to take home (we live in Oregon). Not only is the coffee amazing, but the baristas are super nice too, I didn’t get her name, but the lady with the orange glasses was so sweet! She made our visit so special. The avo toast with eggs is so yummy, I always add bacon and some tomato and it is kiiiiiiller! So bomb. We look forward to this place every year when we come through Missoula.

During a weekend stay in Missoula, we were looking for a good local coffee shop to start the day, and settled on Clyde Coffee. We seemed to have found a local favorite, as there was a decent line to order on a late Sunday morning. Once we got to the counter, the staff was kind and quick to get our order, and we did not have to wait long. The coffee was great! Nice and hot, and great taste. It looked like they had a rotation of drip coffee available, and their dark roast was tasty with a variety of taste notes. The only thing we struggled with was that while we were waiting for our order, there wasn't anywhere to sit, so we ended up standing by the counter and were kind of in the way of everyone. So just to be aware of that if it's busy. Overall great coffee and would recommend stopping by!

Very busy local spot especially when school let's out. My pumpkin spice latte was neither spiced or pumpkin tasting. So that was sad. Six bucks into the bin. 😔 It was a beautiful fall day and warm enough to sit outside, but they lost the keys to their outdoor chairs that are chained and locked up. We tried to sit on them anyway. The staff at Clydes was nice, but so slow. 20 minutes for a ☕️ seems long to me, I dunno. I keep trying to find a really good pumpkin 🎃 ☕️ spiced latte. I know Starbucks has a tasty one but I wanna go to a local place or a chain not as big as that. Anyway my quest is still on.

I love this establishment but the food is very mid, especially for the price. The veggie burrito used to have cheese and a great egg:veggie ratio but now it has no cheese and way more egg. The overall food quality has really lapsed more recently. I really miss that burrito. Staff is always lovely and service is always good. Definitely my favorite place to post up and study.

My coffee, a hazelnut latte, was delicious. (I wish they opened earlier.) The venue is clean and comfortable. The service was great. They were friendly and accommodating. My breakfast was amazing. I had the cheese grits with a hard poached egg. So. Good. I have tried other coffee in the area, and this is my favorite.
