Drum Coffee

I’ve been buying my coffee here since I moved to Missoula in 2024. Attitude has changed since they are now employee owned. I’m 70 years old and yes – I still miss speak and get my French roast extra dark coffee ground French press. But “pardon my French “I’ll ask for it ground French roast!” And three employees in there, including the cashier that disrespected the customer agreed that it was all my fault that I got pissed. Fortunately, drum coffee is sold elsewhere in town so I think I’ll do that.

Review update: The coffee tastes yummy thats why I keep on trying this place, but the last 2 times my order has been made wrong. They forgot the shots in the mocha this time so now I am drinking chocolate milk. I really want to continue to go here, but I just don’t want to keep paying for the wrong drink. When made right it is so good. I visited here for the first time a few days ago and loved it! The barista was super friendly and the coffee had great chocolate undertones. Prices were fair, with two 10 oz lattes running $9. I will definitely be returning :)

A statement I have never made when it comes to coffee roasters: This is the only roaster I have never had a bad cup at. Ben, Matilda and the rest of the team have made my friends and family experience nothing short of spectacular! Thank you Drum for being so diligent and having a flawless coffee experience

A friend gave me a gift certificate for Drum Coffee when they first opened, and I’ve never looked back. I try their blends when I’m in-house—always with a delicious homemade biscuit with butter and jam—and I’m working my way through their single-origin beans for pour-overs at home. Excellent, delicious coffee with real attention to detail. Always a favorite morning stop when I’m back in Missoula.

I’ve been getting coffee beans, beverages, and pastries from Drum for many years now. The service has always been impeccable and they whip up one of the best lattes in town. This morning I came in during a rush and the two employees working were kind and friendly even with the stress of having a line of several drinks in the queue. They always add a personal touch and serve a quality product.
