Crema's Take
“This laid-back beachside spot near Murrells Inlet nails the slow coffee experience with solid espresso drinks and a specialty cold brew program that keeps regulars coming back. The real draw is the unhurried vibe—outdoor seating perfect for people-watching and genuine downtime—though service can be inconsistent depending on who's behind the bar. If you catch them on a good day, it's exactly the kind of casual, walkable coffee destination that makes a beach vacation feel a bit more local.”

So my wife and I who very much immersed into the coffee industry visited Grden City excited to have an iced latte to start the day. We passed this cute small coffee shop close to the beach and decided to take our business there. Once we entered the presumable owner of this business waited on my wife and I. She wasn't quite the personality that I would say you need in a small and welcoming facility. She was shorted answered, a bit rude, and overall not very welcoming. When my wife asked if she had maple syrup, she quickly responded, "our flavors are on the board". Now, we all have bad days. Maybe this was hers but you need to change that exchange if you want to leave a good lasting impression. Furthermore we got 2 regular iced lattes with no special requests and our bill was almost $21. I wish the business the best and I hope that the workers or owner can correct the issues it appears many customers have experienced.
Stopped in for a coffee, but the experience was ruined by the barista/owner with long gray hair. From the start, she was curt and dismissive, making it clear customers were more of an inconvenience than anything else. On top of that, the drinks were overpriced and honestly not that good—definitely not worth what they’re charging. Coffee shops should feel welcoming, but the rude attitude and mediocre drinks made it uncomfortable and disappointing. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values good service or good coffee.
while on vacation me and my friends decided to walk on the beach to this cute coffee shop we saw the previous night. we were so excited and really looking forward to a nice coffee. when we walked in we were instantly greeted by a rude lady (assuming it’s the owner). she had a terrible attitude and was straight up miserable. we looked past it and still decided to order from this shop. i ordered a mocha iced coffee and wasn’t sure how sweet it would be. i asked the lady if i could get some cream in my coffee and she just stared at me with a disgusted look. she proceeded to say, and i quote, “WHAT? i don’t know what you’re talking about. i don’t use cream in my coffee i use milk.” i was taken back by this comment and seriously disturbed by her unnecessary attitude. not only was the owner very unwelcoming, the coffee was mediocre at best and very over priced. we come to myrtle beach every year and i will never be coming back to this shop.
We got an Americano and an oat milk latte. Both were okay. The foam was loose on the latte, not creamy, but the coffee was good. The best part was sitting out in front of the store people and car watching. There was plenty of street parking. Just one block from the beach.
Oct 2018 This is truly a gem of a place. Arrived on Saturday and came Sunday am and Monday. Monday’s they are closed but we didn’t know that. However the owner was there and was kind enough to make us two hot cups of the local favorite, Garden City Mocha. The drink can be hot, iced or frozen. We chose hot. Not overly sweet like many coffee places. The perfect mix of coffee, sweetness and caffeine. The owner gave us some good tips on places to eat in the area and was super personable. Not only do you get a good cup of coffee but you feel like you left with a new friend. Sept 2019 back again and so amazing to be remembered and just have that feeling of coming to a friends! Always very pleasant and the coffee is great. This time had the garden city mocha frozen and its sweet creamy and just damn delicious.
