The Pier at Garden City
110 S Waccamaw Dr, Murrells Inlet, SC
Crema's Take
“This isn't your typical coffee spot—it's a working pier in Murrells Inlet where you can sip your drink while watching fishermen cast their lines and, if you're lucky, spot sharks and manta rays gliding through the water below. The vibe is wonderfully unpretentious, with an arcade, occasional ice cream, and live music creating a laid-back gathering place that feels like a summer tradition for locals and visitors alike. It's the kind of place where a good coffee is just the beginning of an afternoon spent soaking in salt air and waterfront views.”

Probably like 3.5 stars . Despite the barbed wire on the outside the inside is decent with an arcade, ice cream (sometimes), bathrooms, and a small fishing shop. The pier has a decent view of the area but is definitely on its second life .
Perfect place to relax and watch people fish. Obviously, you can fish as well. I was just in the area and killing some time and it was a lot of fun just sitting there listening to the waves and watching the birds attack all the people's food lol
I always have to make a trip to this pier when I am nearby. My husband and I vacationed many summers in Garden City. The pier was one of the highlights of our trip each year.
- fun pier with an arcade, live music, food / drinks, shops, fishing, and an amazing view of the beach - popular surf spot with lots of sharks that can be seen from the pier. I’ve also seen manta rays (only once), jelly fish, and dolphins
Definitely my favorite pier near Myrtle Beach. They have your usual fishing rods you can rent out. They are affordable and they even sell bait. Be prepared to see a decent bit of sharks. One of the best things about this pier is the wide variety of options. They serve food, have an arcade, sell alcoholic beverages, and host live music on the weekends (typically). It’s diverse for any occasion, whether it’s a date night, family outing, or simply some solitude. Obviously it’s a lot more popular during the summertime (warm months) as opposed to the winter season. It’s still a beautiful view all year round. And my favorite spot to watch the sunset.
