Crema's Take
“This Durham gem is a visual feast of artisanal chocolates and macarons that doubles as a thoughtful gift destination, with standout pastries like their legendary raspberry chocolate cake that strikes that perfect balance between indulgent and refined. The handcrafted quality shines through in everything from their pre-boxed bon bon sets to delicate petite tartes, though the experience hinges on catching one of their genuinely warm, enthusiastic staff members behind the counter. It's the kind of place where you'll splurge deliberately rather than casually, knowing you're supporting something locally made and distinctly excellent.”

Great deal of delicious looking chocolates and pastries. I was excited by the variety of macaroons. Unfortunately, my excitement over this new discovery was quickly deflated by the lackluster service received. I was trying to purchase treats for my friend’s birthday. I made a small purchase (because of limited time), and would have spent a great deal more to explore the wares, but the cool reception, and being made to feel as if I was interrupting cut my spending SHORT!! It’s cool. They did me a favor-helped me to save some money today and in the future.
Really cool bon bon shop! They have pre-boxed sets that make for easy, thoughtful gifts, and it’s great to see a locally made option like this. The lady at the counter was super nice, enthusiastic, and clearly passionate about chocolate. Everything was beautifully packed. I also grabbed a small black coffee for my walk back home — it was excellent, smooth and rich, easily one of the best I’ve had in a while.
Easily the best bakery in the Triangle. The raspberry chocolate cake we had was light and spongy and perfectly balanced. It was sweet but not too sweet, rich, and indulgent without being overpowering. Truly an excellent cake shop. Can’t wait to try more of their options.
I got macaroons and chocolate. They were very delicious. Some flavors weren't my preference, but overall it was fantastic. Price wise, I couldn't spend money here all the time. But you get what you pay for, deliciousness and the macaroons were soooooooooo much better than freezer ones.
Excellent place to find a handcrafted artisan gift. I ordered macaron, Bon bon, and petite tarte. The peach tarts had an excellent filling - the tart shell was undercooked. The pear tarts were traditional in flavor but lacking in texture as well. The macaron had excellent flavor and was perfect size and color. You can tell they are especially good at bonbon, chocolate truffles, and macaron. The woman who runs the place is an excellent conversationalist and creates a small home feel. I was so looking forward to a French bakery in North Carolina, and I was happy to have found her spot. The chocolates are exceptional and handcrafted, and each one has a unique and pungent flavor. In total, with one box chocolate, one box macaron, and both pies, I spent $75.
