Crema's Take
“Tucked into a bustling DC neighborhood, Cafe Joy lives up to its name as a serene refuge where carefully crafted lattes and creative pastries like their standout kunafa croissant pair perfectly with savory offerings like pesto ciabatta sandwiches. The intimate space—with just a few tables nestled in the corner—fosters genuine connection, whether you're meeting a friend or settling in solo, all overseen by genuinely warm staff who clearly take pride in their work. It's the kind of place where both the coffee and the community feel thoughtfully made.”

My friend and I visited this place and enjoyed the delicious drinks and food! Highly recommend Joy Latte and chicken pita. Will be back to try some of the pastries on the menu!
Cafe Joy sparks joy. In a busy part of town, it’s a peaceful oasis. Walk inside and you’ll find a Amal space with a few tables off to the corner. Order one of their lattes and pastries, which are 30% off after 3 p.m. The Joy Latte is pistachio and cardamom, a nod to the owner’s Lebanese heritage. There’s a unisex restroom that’s clean
So glad to have this place in the neighborhood! Staff are super friendly and the food and drinks are hot and tasty. Lovely cozy atmosphere and it’s always bustling when I stop in.
I am so happy to have this great café open just a block from me, one that offers very top-notch food (savory and sweet) in addition to coffee beverages. I ordered the kunafa croissant and the avocado and egg sandwich, but on pita rather than ciabatta (highly recommend it this way). I was absolutely enamored. And I ordered a Joy Latte with oat milk and it was velvety smooth, creamy, beautifully spiced, and just the right amount of sweet. Highly encourage folks to check out this small business and give it a warm welcome to the neighborhood!
I loved my experience at Cafe Joy! First, the food and coffee were absolutely delicious and very fairly priced! I got the Pesto Ciabatta Sandwich and it was so amazing. The vibe is very cute and calming, there are lots of plants, it was clean, and is on a pretty street with trees. The owner was so sweet, he was talking to guests to make them feel welcome, and helped a couple out with their baby. Could not say enough kind words, this will definitely be a regular spot for me!
