Crema's Take

This innovative vending machine tucked in the Block 37 pedway delivers surprisingly fresh Asian teas and cold brew when traditional shops have closed for the night, making it a lifesaver for late-night cravings downtown. Reviewers consistently rave about the quality—jasmine milk tea with agar jelly and roast oolong milk tea taste genuinely fresh and flavorful despite coming from a machine, and the significantly lower prices compared to traditional boba shops make it an easy win. It's a clever solution for Chicago's underserved tea market, especially in areas where 7pm tea runs usually mean disappointment.

I was downtown craving boba at like 7pm, when a lot of boba shops were closed, and this vending machine came up on google, so I decided to try it! I got the roast oolong milk tea with agar and it was sweet and creamy and tasted the same as what I I would expect fresh from a boba shop. My only complaint is that I wish the different bubble teas were clearly labeled right in the vending machine. Instead, you have to go through and click on each one on the touch screen to find out what they are.

The Jasmine Milk Tea with Agar Jelly was so delicious! I was skeptical about expiration dates and the taste of the tea but I’m thoroughly impressed as the flavor was fresh and drink was cold. The jasmine flavor is probably one of the best I’ve had in a while. Super accessible for a quick drink especially when all other shops are closed :)

A solid option to get a quick drink. The teas are also significantly cheaper than standard boba tea shops since you don’t need to tip an employee and the drinks aren’t made to order like in a standard shop. I tried the mango jasmine tea today and it was pretty good. I do wish that they added fruit jelly’s to their mango, passion fruit and lychee jasmine teas like they do with the tapioca boba replacements in the milk teas. Coconut or strawberry jelly’s in the mango tea would have been wonderful. Still, they have plenty of options and you can’t go wrong with this quick and easy grab and go vending machine!

Surprisingly good! I've had my share of bubble tea and this one really hit the spot on a sunny day. Awesome to have this in an area without much tea options. No tapioca bubble options, which makes total sense bc they'd get soggy. They have options without and with agar jelly. We got lychee jasmine tea and jasmine milk tea. 5.75 for the large and 4.75 for small.

Spilling all the tea Such an innovative idea! This @mychachicago vending machine is in the pedway of Block 37 downtown. So if you’re ever craving an Asian tea or coffee, this is super convenient. For a @grabbdapp collab, I tried the Vietnamese coffee, Thai milk tea (orange drink), and taro milk tea (lavender and white drink made with real taro paste) and they were each deliciously sweet and refreshing. They all come in two sizes for whatever you’re craving. Be sure to shake your drink after it dispenses
