Cranberry's Grocery & Eatery
7 S New St, Staunton, VA
Crema's Take
“This beloved Staunton gathering spot pairs artisan coffee with an unexpectedly holistic grocery selection and made-to-order breakfast that draws regulars back whenever they're in town. The intimate, quirky atmosphere—with tables tucked into corners and up a staircase—creates that rare slow-paced vibe perfect for lingering over a cup, though their to-go operation moves quickly for those grabbing on the run. Their commitment to organic, quality ingredients shows in everything from the soft, pillowy bread to the carefully sourced coffee, making it feel more like a thoughtful local market than a typical cafe.”

I really like their coffee. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is their to go orders. I ordered a New York bagel to go for the first time ordering food from there, expecting to be able to eat a delicious hot bagel slathered in cream cheese when I walked out but it wasn't ready to eat. They give you two tiny packages of cream cheese, enough for one side of the bagel, and a plastic knife so you can do it yourselves which is kinda inconvenient when you're trying to grab a bite on the run. I would not have ordered a bagel if I had known I needed to finish prepping it myself. The coffee is good though.
Food was average, service was good and attentive. Atmosphere was quaint enjoyed the meal. Would definitely go back when in town convenient walking distance from hotel 24.. If looking for anything holistic, this is the store to find it all kinds of interesting foods and olive oil. Love the store and his atmosphere.
Excellent shop for organic and holistic products. They have everything from supplements to organic gummy bears. Their kitchen serves up delicious plates and amazing artisan coffee.
Reasonably pricey, considering it’s local and organic. Though I have to say that everything is tasty, from the normal breakfast to the avocado egg toast with salmon. The bread was so soft and yummy. Egged cooked just right with super fresh avocado. The super green smoothies was also rich and delicious.
A favorite breakfast spot whenever I visit Staunton. I enjoy the freshly made options and the slow vibe. Despite the small space, extra tables are tucked into corners and even on the staircase landing offering a bit of privacy, if you want a private conversation. I really enjoyed my dirty chai and crustless spinach cheddar quiche. We picked up a few extra high quality groceries on the way out. Definitely take a look.
