Pacifica Breeze Cafe
1555 Camino Del Mar, Del Mar, CA
Crema's Take
“Perched in a hidden corner of Del Mar with sweeping views that feel almost European, this casual café shines brightest as a breakfast and brunch destination where the chicken and waffles and avocado toast actually deliver. The outdoor seating overlooking Old Del Mar makes it an ideal spot for a leisurely morning with friends or a solo bike ride stop, though be prepared for counter service and occasional inconsistencies with pricing and food quality. It's the kind of neighborhood gem worth seeking out if you're in the area, especially on a sunny day when you can settle in with a decent latte and let the coastal views do most of the work.”

Absolutely abysmal food, and the staff are all high school kids serving literally high school food, they just look at you blankly, no customer service whatsoever. Prices online don't match in restaurant, I paid $15 for an avo toast that was literally half an avocado on dry toast, like no butter etc. and the avocado didn't even cover the toast, very bad, no seasoning. Like a $2 sold for $15....
I tried chicken wrap with fries on the side. The wrap was super bland. They do serve it with peanut sauce, which didn't add much flavor to it. I liked the fries better - they were soft and crispy.
Pacifica Breeze Cafe in Del Mar offered a decent experience. I tried the latte, avocado toast, and the avocado toast with salmon & egg, and all were satisfactory. It's a fine spot if you're in the area and looking for a casual bite.
The chicken and waffles was surprisingly delicious and the Waffle with berries was also good. It was a bit confusing at first- but order at the counter, find yourself a table and it's pretty simple. We'd definitely return! - Be warned that the garage bills by the half hour and we were amused that by not paying attention we'd gone 5 min. into the next half hour and paid a lot more for parking than expected. I think the first half hour or hour might be free, but the restaurants here are slow and you typically pay.
We love riding our bikes to this restaurant that if you don’t know it’s there you might miss it. Outdoor seating looking over Old Del Mar you would think you were in a European village. Great breakfast spot! I love the eggs Benedict or farmers fresh eggs and smoked bacon. There coffee is fresh and the views are amazing!
