Crema's Take
“Tucked into a charming multi-floor converted house in Covington, KungBrew seamlessly blends specialty coffee with an equally impressive tea program, complete with beautifully curated tea sets that feel as thoughtful as they taste. The knowledgeable staff shines in making recommendations, whether you're after a traditional espresso drink, one of their creative signatures, or a steaming matcha—and the small bites like bao buns pair perfectly for lingering over work or conversation. With relaxing jazz upstairs, genuine warmth throughout, and plenty of cozy nooks across its vertical layout, this is the kind of place that invites you to slow down and stay awhile.”

Absolutely love this place! They have all the normal coffee shop items, with some fun specialty drinks. They also have small bites, I particularly like the bao buns. I HIGHLY recommend the traditional tea service. A great way to spend a quiet afternoon, bring a conversation partner or a book! Seating can be a little tight, and like everywhere on Mainstrasse parking can be difficult
Love coming to KungBrew! The tea sets are so fun, unique and delicious. The staff is knowledgeable and they are always helpful with explanations of items and direction on what to get. We tried their new vegan option (the bagel sandhwich) and it was delicious! Always a fun little date.
Conclusion: Kungbrew Café is a unique little coffee shop in Covington Ky. It has an interesting setup, with seating on three different floors of the building. Looks as if it was an old house at one point. They have preffesional grade coffee, and a large selction of Tea. Great place to go do some studying or hang out with a few friends. Larger groups, (more than 5) might be a little challenging due to the table setup. Check out the full review on our Instagram or TikTok @hunting_coffee
Friendly staff that I talked with and handed off my drink. Gorgeous store overall, I love a theme. Relaxing jazz-type music was playing upstairs. I wish I got a different drink, but it wasn’t untasty. I really enjoyed that they had a full tea menu in addition to coffee.
KungBrew is a really great coffeeshop/teahouse with a welcoming vibe and plenty of space to hang out. The shop has two floors, making it a nice spot for meeting friends or even getting some work done. I came on a Sunday morning during the rush—it was busy at the counter, but not many people were actually sitting down, so it still felt comfortable. The menu is creative and diverse: light food, desserts, homemade bao buns, specialty coffee, and lots of tea options. They offer unique tea-based lattes and seasonal flavors, which makes the drink list feel a little more gourmet than your standard coffeeshop. I especially liked how much variety there was for latte styles. The service was friendly, though a bit slower the day I visited—understandable with the morning rush, but worth keeping in mind if you’re in a hurry. The space itself is full of Asian-inspired art and décor, with some pieces even for sale, which adds a nice cultural touch. Overall, I’d definitely recommend KungBrew if you’re looking for a cozy spot with unique drinks and room to spread out. Great for hanging out, studying, or just trying something new. Just be prepared that service might take a little longer on busy days.
