Catalina Coffee

Crema's Take
“Catalina Coffee is a Houston gem where baristas clearly take their craft seriously, consistently pulling smooth, well-balanced espresso drinks and working with quality independent roasters like Amaya. The space strikes that perfect balance between stylish and inviting—ideal for lingering over a cup or catching up with friends—and the team's genuine warmth and willingness to guide you through creative options (their lavender coffee seems to be a standout) makes every visit feel personal rather than transactional.”

If you’re looking for a cozy coffee spot with consistently amazing drinks, Catalina Coffee is the place to go. The coffee tastes incredible every single time—rich, smooth, and perfectly crafted. You can tell they really care about quality. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and they’re more than happy to offer suggestions if you’re not sure what to order. House made syrups are delicious. Service is impressively fast, even when it’s busy, which makes it an easy stop whether you’re on the go or settling in for a while. It’s also a great place to relax with a book or spend time journaling. The atmosphere is calm and comfortable, and the outdoor area is just as nice—perfect for enjoying your coffee on a beautiful day. Highly recommend!
I love Catalina! They serve Amaya roast which is amazing this place also is a little sentimental for me, I opened up a brick and mortar retail business in 2017 and this was the only coffee shop in the area at the time. Their coffee filled me and my dreams for almost 10 years! Don’t get me started on the pastries, absolutely perfect. My favorite drink here is actually a black coffee drip. A mole seating inside, free parking. Eclectic crowd.
Catalina Coffee has a great atmosphere — simple, stylish, and perfect for just sitting with a cup and relaxing. The coffee was smooth and well made, and you can tell they take it seriously. Nice spot to work, read, or meet someone. It’s popular so it can get a little crowded, but that just shows how good it is. I’d definitely come back again.
Good barista work. The understand their skill. You will find here independent roasters and good espresso. Selection was two rather nutty and earthy beans. They have almond milk. Big no-no for me is the paper cups they can not sell anything but espresso on ceramic... Still a good place for a decent espresso experience
All the employees are super friendly there. Very helpful with all my questions that I had about the lavender coffee. She helped me decide on getting my lavender coffee cold instead of hot. And it was delicious
