Crema's Take

This is a hospital cafeteria grill in Sacramento's basement, so manage your expectations accordingly—it's convenient if you're visiting a patient or work there, but the 3.9 rating (based on only 20 reviews) reflects real inconsistency, particularly around service attitude and greasy breakfast execution. Multiple reviewers praise the omelettes and fresh prep relative to typical hospital food, while others report rude staff and inedible, oil-soaked dishes; the experience seems to depend heavily on timing and which cook is on shift. Go if you're already in the building and hungry, but don't seek it out.

What to expect

Classic coffee drinks done right. Quick-grab spot. Full breakfast and light food on the menu.

Poor service. The breakfast cook is rude. They refused to take a breakfast order even though it was only 10 am and their breakfast items were still out. They don't seem to have a certain time to end breakfast service as we got breakfast after 10 am yesterday.

For a grill in the basement of a hospital they actually make good food! Better than the hospital food in the rooms for suuurreee!!! Fries a little salty - but the omelettes are good and then Philly cheesesteak is lit!

I ordered a spinach mushroom omelette this morning & it was horrible! It was so greasy it was slimy. $8 for an omelette you can’t even swallow. Everything inside was greasy, too like it was saturated in oil. I thought the food would be decent but I would have been better off…

For a cafe/food court in a hospital, is pretty good. The food is freshly made, and a pretty good variety, as long as you go there before 6 or 7pm. After that, they close a lot of it and go down to a minimal menu.
