Halibut Henry's
4255 Mitchell Way, Bellingham, WA
Crema's Take
“Halibut Henry's wins over visitors with genuinely skilled espresso work and staff members like Liz who bring real care to each drink, even if consistency can be spotty depending on who's behind the counter. The specialty and traditional drinks shine here—particularly their espresso-focused offerings—making it a worthwhile stop if you're passing through Bellingham, especially if you catch them on a good day. It's the kind of place where a perfectly pulled shot and a friendly face can make up for the occasional hiccup in service.”

It's a nice little spot with okay food, but great coffee and very nice employees!
My one favourite treat that I like when I come to the airport and fly out to Oakland and the two that were on staff today did a terrible job. They ruined my dirty chai tea. Nov 7-25.
I come home to Bellingham every so often and the last two times a gal named Liz is behind the counter doing her thing! What an absolute pro. The hustle, the courtesy, the quality drinks-- Liz not only handles it, she does so with an incredible attitude. They are lucky to have her. I am not one to write reviews but this is the second time in two months I have had this experience and it deserves to be highlighted. Liz for employee of the year! Or maybe she owns the place, who knows!
Update 5 days later. Came back from holiday, asked a different employee how much they would charge me for cup of hot water, & he said "nothing" So which is it? Was charged 1.00 usd for 2 hot water. I have no problem paying a small fee for cup, but 50 cents is ridiculous!! Lady before me asked for light Ice & girl said "just letting you know your cup won't be full" Talk about greed. Not sure if this is her idea of trying to run ship or company policy, but certainly not cool. The dark honey is just awful. They need better honey & full cream instead of half&half cups
I'm surprised at the negative reviews. I've been here twice in two months and staff were friendly both times. I had a drip coffee and Americano. I recommend the espresso drinks over the drip coffee. Selection isn't spectacular, but OK for a tiny airport. TIP: They have a microwave at the checkout where the staff can heat your sandwich.
