Gables Bagels provided the IU D3 hockey team with bagels after a game last weekend! A lot of the guys had never had them and absolutely loved them! The chive cream cheese is to die for!! Thank you Gables Bagels for supporting local teams! We hope to do something again in the future!! - Indiana University D3 Hockey Team

From out of town visiting and was told to check out this place. Very disappointing service, had to wait 30 minutes for a simple bagel sandwhich. 5 people who came after me got their bagels first, lots of online orders which I understand but waiting this long with not a lot of space to wait was inconvenient. Once my bagel was ready to go the lady was so rude and literally threw my bagel on the counter and was like “here”. I had to ask for a bag. Which seemed to have inconvenienced her. The guy was super nice, the other left much to be desired. If I’m spending $20 plus tip on a bagel I expect at the very least good customer service. Won’t be back, there are other places to go where you will be treated with common courtesy. All for a bagel.smh

We have used Gables Bagels several times to support our sales team in there on location presentations. The team makes this process seamless for us by having our orders ready on time for pick-up or delivery and set up. Nathan and his staff is over top with their customer service. Smiles, helpful and great attitudes at 7:00 am. The extreme bonus is when Ed (the owner) personally makes the delivery. Ed loves to educate us on why there bagels are the best. Great work guys. Thanks Glenn Harris of Harris Services.

Visiting from Alabama for the senior week. I don’t think I have ever been to a business with such an enthusiastic owner. He connected with every customer. He also kept the extremely long line moving but at the same time took the time to connect with us and offer recommendations- asking if we were first time visitors/where we were from. So 10 out of 10 on the atmosphere and culture. We ordered a salted bagel with strawberry- so good and the jalapeño popper breakfast sandwich and split it so we got both sweet and savory. It was a great combo. My other daughter got the jalapeño popper and ended up taking half of it home to eat for breakfast tomorrow- it was very filling. There was a wait time but we expected that because of how popular the place is. That is a normal situation and the owner seemed aware yet grateful to be busy :). Worth the wait.

I chose the worst time to go to Gables Bagels- parents weekend, the morning after the annihilation of Illinois 63-10 :) The place was mobbed, of course. After waiting in line to order for 45+ minutes, I decided to try the Mendoza Brothers Cubano. After my daughter placed her usual veggie sausage breakfast sandwich. I ordered it. Ed was so enthusiastic about it, telling us how great the Mendoza family is, and how they told him it was “the best Cuban sandwich they’ve ever had”, I was skeptical. I know Ed wants to promote his products, but being that they are from Miami, I thought that Ed was just selling me. I too am from Cuban lineage and have a very critical mindset for these. Well, I’m happy to say it was right on. The mojo roast pork and the authentic ingredients were the real deal! My only negative take was that the time delay to get it out left the bagel sweaty and a bit soggy. That just made it a mess to handle but had no affect on the flavor. Gabby, at the register, with her friendly smile and welcoming attitude was a pleasure. Kudos Ed!! Can’t wait to try your new shop in Zionsville on 10/31. Ate it at the curb, of course. ;)
