Classic Rock Coffee

15614 Huebner Rd, San Antonio, TX

Crema's Take

This family-owned San Antonio gem wraps you in moody, rock-and-roll-inspired coziness with subdued lighting and vintage vinyl aesthetics that make you actually want to linger. The owner's genuine warmth sets the tone for an unexpectedly intimate space where both creative specialty drinks like the Chocolate Chai and signature creations shine, drawing people back even when it's out of their way. It's the kind of place where the atmosphere itself feels like the main attraction, perfect for a quiet afternoon or catching up with friends in a setting that's refreshingly unpretentious.

Family owned and ran, great atmosphere - subdued lights (I don’t want bright lights in a coffee shop,) the dad’s cool collection of rock and roll on the walls - cozy furniture and the owner welcomes everyone like old friends. I’ve only been twice and she remembered my drink from my first visit two weeks before and always wants to make sure it’s exactly how I want it even if I don’t know 😆 The red eye with a dollop of half and half is great. The mom is also sweet - you can tell they all care about their customers and their business. Both times I visited, her regulars come in and she knows all about them and she engages everyone that wants to be engaged. Either chill near the bar, or chill in a couch and get some work done. This is a true daughter-mom-and-pop shop and I’ll be back. Oh, the first photo on the nearby Mildfire Coffee with the Classic Rock bar is of this place.

I had 30 minutes to kill, so I tried this place at 2:45PM day before Thanksgivings. I was about the only customer, one more came in. The peach tea was very flavorful, but the cranberry orange was spectacular, light and fluffy and not cake-y at all, slightly sweet and highlighting the tartness of the cranberry. Decor and music was spot on for somebody who grew up in the 70s, I swear I have all the LPs the cover of which were posted on the walls.

Vibes were AMAZING!! Owner is really friendly and welcoming. The art is beautiful and I love the furniture and music playing. It’s out of the way where I live but I will DEFINITELY be coming again.

Had been meaning to try this place as it's in the same strip as a couple other places I enjoy and it did not disappoint! Had a chocolate chai and it was super tasty!! Tried the war pig and it was a good size. The service was excellent and they make you feel right at home and welcome! The vibe and atmosphere is awesome and great taste in music. Even met some super friendly regulars and got to see the great rapport between them and the staff. Will definitely be back again and try their coffee next time.
