Crema's Take

Dichotomy blends coffee craftsmanship with a distinctly artistic, eclectic vibe that feels equal parts specialty café and creative gathering space, complete with funky wall designs and rooftop views overlooking the courthouse. Their espresso-focused menu shines brightest with signature creative drinks like the Hocus Focus and the 1885, though the experience tends to be as hit-or-miss as the atmosphere is colorful—excellent pastries and cortados occasionally overshadowed by pricing concerns and uneven service. If you're seeking a visually interesting spot for a slower sit with craft coffee and an unpretentious, artsy crowd, this place delivers the aesthetic and the ambition, even if consistency isn't always guaranteed.

What to expect

Espresso-focused, with creative signature drinks, with a pour-over program. A slow-sit, outdoor seating spot, good for meetings. Pastries on the menu. Open late.

The coffee shop looks nice, but the prices are too steep for what you actually get. On top of that, the staff seemed uninterested and a bit dismissive. I left feeling like it wasn’t worth the money.

I enjoyed my cortado. Why was I sad to not have a flower swirled on top? Well regardless, it was really good. The decor was creative in a funky way. Quiche was delish.

Nice eclectic, artsy, chill atmosphere. The pumpkin muffin was very tasty, the coffee was good, but not the best you can find in the area. The espresso is a little too acidic tasting, and the latte and cappuccino could be served a bit hotter by default.

Great spot for a morning coffee or evening drinks. Relaxed atmosphere with rooftop views overlooking the courthouse, a perfect setting to unwind. The 1885 was a pleasant surprise: unique, flavorful, and definitely worth a try. This place nails the balance between cozy and cool.
