Crema's Take

Tucked into a cozy Newport corner is a serious espresso destination that doubles as a working film lab, making it a wonderfully unique gathering spot for analog and caffeine enthusiasts alike. The baristas here are genuine craftspeople who consistently pull exceptional shots, and the intimate space—with just a handful of tables inside and a garden area outside—feels designed for meaningful conversations or quiet creative work. Whether you're dropping off film or settling in with their perfectly-pulled lattes, there's a real sense of care in every detail.

Really cute little spot to get some coffee and pickup or drop off film to be developed! Went for the first time the other day and plan on going again tomorrow morning to drop off some film! As another review says, definitely get there early to claim a spot to sit if you want to sit and work or read, there’s maybe five (?) tables and all can fit two or so people.

This is my favorite coffee in NKY without a doubt. The espresso is amazing, and the baristas are genuine and consistently make a great drink. The space is small, so I prefer other coffee shops for studying.

This shop is such a gem! I live three blocks away and was thrilled to learn there is a photo lab inside where I can get film developed and purchase new rolls—such a great feature! The coffee is excellent and the pastries are some of the best I’ve ever had. Their hours are great—perfect for bite to eat and caffeine before heading to work or running errands. The shop is small, so if you’re planning to work in there, claim your spot early. The streets in the area aren’t typically busy and there’s usually lots of parking around.

We stopped by Collective Espresso on a Saturday morning. The café has a very nice ambiance, with about 4–5 tables inside and a few more out in the garden. It’s a rather small space overall. We ordered a latte and the “fancy” drip coffee—both were excellent. The fancy drip was simply a different bean variety than their standard drip, but it was still very good. The café seemed popular with locals, and it filled up quickly. Just a heads-up: it may not have a bathroom, so keep that in mind if you plan to stay for a while. Also, because it’s quite small, it can be a bit hard to find a quiet spot to study. Overall, a cozy place with great coffee and a welcoming vibe.

Been on my list for a while and decided to take a detour into work this new year to try it out! Their 12 oz latte comes with two shots and it is the perfect drink! Had a couple tables inside to sit down and enjoy. Looked like there was a patio with outdoor seating as well but not open since it’s January! Barista was really nice and sweet! Will def be coming back soon for more coffee!
