Kaldi's Coffee - Farrell
520 S Euclid, St. Louis, MO
Crema's Take
“This St. Louis institution nails the espresso fundamentals, pulling proper cappuccinos with silky microfoam that draw consistent praise from the specialty coffee crowd. Located near WashU, this satellite location punches above its weight with genuinely excellent baked goods and a solid lunch menu, all served in a welcoming space that's perfect for camping out with your laptop or grabbing something quick on your way. The vibe here is refreshingly no-fuss—straightforward, honest coffee that respects both the craft and your time.”

Excellence across the board. Proper cappuccino with microfoam. Baked goods have excellent flavor and freshness.
I used to stop by this store for coffee or tea whenever I passed by. However, it seems they only serve good coffee or tea if you leave a tip. I’ve decided to avoid going there from now on.
Baked goods sat uncovered and I spotted a fly sitting on a scone. I pointed it to an employee that was taking my order and suggested to keep the food covered. I was appalled to see them swat the fly away, did not put a lid/dome on the food. I saw the fly come right back sitting on the food. I waited for my drink for at least 10 mins and nothing was done about it!
Excellent coffee and good food. Somewhat limited menu but it's a satellite store aimed specifically for WashU students and employees. The staff here is amazing though! Hands down, much better coffee than you'll ever get at Starbucks! Can get pretty busy during peak rush times, but usually the wait for an espresso drink isn't longer than 5 - 10 mins, max
Service is good. They excel with their lunch alternatives. I like the toasted cheese. The coffee varieties are good. A nice and uncomplicated flavor mixture. The specialty drinks are a pass. I mean the chai anything's or the matcha green teas. A lot of these companies are diluting the concentrates with milk and water. This is industry wide but still disappointing. Overall I would say come here for an interesting coffee and toasted cheese. Its open to the public by the way.
