Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters
1207 Mohawk Trail, Hadley, MA
Crema's Take
“Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters is a bustling, espresso-focused spot where creative signature drinks like the Maple Campfire Latte steal the show, especially when you ask for half the sweetness and pair it with their standout pecan sticky bun. The weekend energy here is real and vibrant—perfect for lingering over coffee and pastries with friends—though the kitchen can get backed up during peak hours, which is more about their popularity than any service issue. If you're after excellent latte craft and fresh-baked pastries in a lively gathering space, this Hadley roastery delivers the goods, just maybe avoid the busiest times if you're grabbing food.”

Sometimes good drinks, but extremely sweet. Sandwiches and other food items take forever and ever on weekends. That isn't the staff's fault, by the way--it's a system flaw! The grilled chicken in their sandwiches could be made out of rubber for all I can tell. This location sees very high turnover, which is never a good sign. I hope that their employees are treated well and paid fairly by this local family's coffee monopoly (they also own Catalpa Coffee in Greenfield).
This is our favorite stop for coffee and pastries after snowboarding. They have an amazing fresh selection of pastries here, we love the pecan sticky bun (not too sweet and loaded with pecans), the Almond croissant (wonderful balance of almond paste, almonds and very delicate flaky crust), the cinnamon roll(which takes a nice spin on things and does a cream cheese frosting), and the scones(all of the scones are literally perfect and not dry like some scones can be). The crew is always very welcoming and efficient too! The coffee tastes super fresh and they have a nice assortment of coffee by the pound. They also have a great menu for savory foods made fresh in house. It’s a quaint spot especially for a break in the drive. Make a point to stop by, you won’t be disappointed!
Stopped in for lunch and lattes and had the best latte of my life with the Maple Campfire Latte (half the sweet) with oat milk. Oh, my goodness. I almost cried it was so good. The place was rockin', so we had to wait a bit, but if you can spare the time, it is worth it. Enjoyed a couple of the chicken sandwiches and they were both great. Nice people working there, nice vibe and reasonably priced. Can't wait to go back for that heavenly latte. Wish I lived closer!
Very good! The coffee is delicious and the latte is very creamy and tastes amazing! I ordered a Hadley on a bagel and it was all very good! I would definitely come back! I recommend it.
I felt somewhat indifferent about my experience. The pastries were average; they weren't exceptional, but they weren't bad either. The coffee, however, was lukewarm. It was a self-service environment, and the cashier was not very friendly; she seemed disengaged. The coffee shop itself appeared a bit worn down, and the self-serve area was not clean, with litter on the floor. Overall, I was not pleased with the value considering the quality of the food and service.
