Such good tea and great vibes! They were giving out free tea due to the cold weather this week and ended up buying some too because it truly is that good.

I was visiting Pittsburgh one weekend and I came across Blue Monkey Tea. I’m a huge breakfast tea man so of course I had to check it out. The tea is amazing!! Pittsburgh Breakfast is 10/10 for sure. I’m pretty sure they have $5 shipping too. Thanks Blue Monkey

Went to their tea class 101. As much as I love tea, I didn't realize there was so much I didn't know about tea. The owner is so knowledgeable, friendly and just a joy to engage with. The variety of loose leaf teas was slightly overwhelming, but tastings during the class helped me make decisions. Prices were very reasonable. Parking can be difficult but hey, it's Squirrel Hill.

Really nice little shop. Prices are fair and selection is good. Decent selection of Chinese teas for gong fu but definitely caters more to flavored and herbal tea drinkers. The woman who runs the shop is very kind and has even replaced a broken gaiwan lid for me at no charge. At least 2 times I've gone I've been given samples to try out and that's a very nice gesture. One complaint is that parking is difficult on the street, but that is no fault to the shop. Highly reccomend the jasmine dragon pearls, white silver needle jasmine, monkey picked golden hunnan, golden monkey, milk oolong, and organic TKY oolong.

Best tea shop I've been in, ever. Nicest store workers. They are very knowledgeable about tea and about every single product in the store. If you're a novice they can explain things to you, and if you're pretty knowledgeable about tea like I am, they are happy to talk tea with you. The purple tea I bought was fantastic! Great selection and also great accessories. They do have some coffee too. I will definitely be back sometime soon! Thank you very much. Update: Went back yesterday and had another fantastic experience. The selection is second to none. Very satisfied with my chamomile tea. It is fresh and fragrant. Never had any chamomile from grocery stores that has tasted this good! The English breakfast is awesome as well as the Ceylon. Another update: Fantastic selection of high-grade teas. I got some jasmine green tea pearls, black tea pearls, gunpowder green tea, and more purple tomoi tea. Absolutely love this place. I could probably spend $100 here just by getting 1 oz. sample-sized packages of everything to try.
