Sacred Grounds Coffee
725 Grand Ave, Glenwood Springs, CO
Crema's Take
“This riverside Glenwood Springs spot has undergone a rocky transition under new ownership, with recent reviews painting a picture of inconsistent quality—particularly regarding their food offerings, which several customers found disappointing. That said, when the service clicks, the warm hospitality shines through, and the cozy interior makes it an inviting place to linger over a coffee and conversation. Given the mixed reputation, it's worth a visit if you're in the area and can catch them on a good day, though you might want to skip the breakfast and stick to their traditional coffee drinks.”

I'm local to this area and work close to Sacred Grounds Coffee. Since the new owners bought this place (over a year ago now), the quality of service and food went down tremendously and of course prices significantly increased. I like to support local businesses and have splurged for this crappy tasting food because it was convenient to do due to proximity to my job. After, the 3rd time they charged me the $2 extra for an avocado on my bagel sandwich for an avocado I didn't get as I found out when I got back to the office, I stopped supporting this business. The 1st two times it happened, I couldn't go back to let them know because I couldn't take another break to do. I called and they apologized and said they'd buy me coffee next time I came in. I said I rather get a refund and they said they can't do that over the phone. I never got a free coffee because no one working there knew what I was talking about. The 3rd time it happened, I went back and asked for a refund and to talk to the manager. The manager offered me a free coffee. I said, "No, I'd like a refund." They took my card to refund the $2, and they ending charging my credit card again vs giving me a refund. I got a charge on top of the bill I already paid for an avocado I never got. After the 3rd time, I lost my patience and I've never gone back to this place since. They lost a frequent customer and I would never recommend this place to anyone. Even if I got the avocado, the sandwiches aren't worth the $. I choose to support because I was hungry, didn't bring food with to work, and the business is close by. On a positive note, I'd like to thank Sacred Grounds Coffee for the awful service because I'm now making my own coffee at work and make my own bagel sandwiches to bring with me to work.
Unfortunately Trash Food!!! Don't recommend at all this place for breakfast not even for coffee.. 7 Eleven coffee is better than what we have been served.. I ordered American Breakfast and this is what I Got potatoes that taste like mold. Sausage that tastes like cardboard and eggs that taste like plastic... On top of that I was charged the sausage as a side when their menu clearly shows one price for the entire dish..
Was in need of a quick bite, but went in before reading reviews. Cute place inside... I dont feel like they are very customer service friendly maybe the cashier was not having a great day, which can happen to everyone but not great for an experience. Went with the"house favorite" breakfast burrito but was highly disappointed. Was nothing more than a small homemade burrito and not sure about quality of ingredients. It was $14 plus i tipped $2 before getting is. Ended up being an $18 burrito (with tax of course) and that probably is why I was shocked. They also give you a name mine was like Sally Fierce or something and of course it didn't register to me when they called it out and they had to twll me it was mine? Kind of strange. Would not recommend.
Doooo nottt get eggs here . They taste like the hot springs . I got the biscuits and gravy as well . Absolutely trash. No taste mystery meat pieces water over half frozen biscuits. Coffee as well super mid .. I got a Americano add an extra shot because they only do one shot per 16oz … my finance got the breakfast burrito . Just overpowered silver taste in the eggs super runny but not flavored sauce on the inside as well.
The only word I have for the place is OBSESSED! we had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The barista was so so so sweet and kind. She gave us our name for our order which was Julia Robert’s which made us both smile 😊 we ordered an Asiago bagel with veggie cream cheese, an everything bagel with egg and sausage and a vanilla latte and a pumpkin spice latte. Everything we ordered was absolutely perfect and we were temped to order seconds! It’s a clean, safe ,great little spot. Definitely family friendly. Can’t recommend enough.
