CrackleMi Café & Catering
709 N 35th St, Seattle, WA
Crema's Take
“This plant-filled Seattle spot strikes a lovely balance between a quick caffeine stop and a lingering workspace, making it equally suited for a 15-minute coffee run or a full afternoon of work. Beyond their reliable traditional drinks and matcha, they're quietly excellent at Vietnamese food—their banh mi sandwiches and spring rolls earn consistent praise for quality ingredients and thoughtful details like clearly marked gluten-free options. The low-key, genuinely welcoming atmosphere and their generosity with extras (they'll throw in extra spring rolls just because) suggest a team that actually cares about making regulars feel at home.”

The inside of the restaurant is very cute with lots of plants. A great place to come after the lunch rush to get some work done. I had come here over the years and am never disappointed. The Banh mi has good meat and bread and the right amount of veggies. The mango smoothie is surprisingly very tasty! I expected it to not be great since mango isn’t in season in February and some restaurants won’t even offer their mango dishes across the street because of that. The broken rice bowls have a lot of food in them for their price. I recommend getting half salad instead of all rice so you don’t eat too many carbs. The pork egg roll is good and perfectly crispy. Everything is super customizable so you don’t need to worry about something in your food you won’t like. My only complaint is that the used to be open late and I would go there for late night bites, but these days they are only open earlier and on week days :(
Good banh mi Bread and quality of meat were both good. My only complaint was that there's too much meat, but most people probably like that. It's got a typical low-key Asian restaurant atmosphere. In other words, it's not polished nor pretty. But the food is good. The coffee was good, though a bit heavy on the condensed milk. There's free jasmine tea and chili oil set out.
Ease of ordering. Food is always excellent and they clearly mark their gluten free options. Service was fast. Only drawback (which is not their fault) is the city is working on the sidewalk at the Fremont location making it difficult to get into the restaurant.
The food is always really good and good value. They also have tip options : 1% , 2% and 3% which is awesome. They also gave us 2 extra spring rolls without us even asking because they were running a little behind. We still got our food within 15 minutes.
6/8/2025: This place is super cute and has a great menu. I placed an order for pick up at 12:15 on a Sunday. Rib eye banh mi, pork banh mi, and fresh shrimp rolls. I arrived a bit early and let them know I could wait. They were great about getting the order completed. Both banh mi were delicious. Flavor was great and very generous with the jalapenos. The bread is a French bread rather than a Vietnamese bread so it doesn't have the nice crisp exterior and super fluffy interior. The shrimp rolls were not good at all. I had to pull off the rice paper because it was inedible. I couldn't bite or tear through it. Maybe a one off. Overall the banh mi were pretty good
