Crema's Take
“Mel's Petit Café wraps you in genuine warmth the moment you step through the door, with a thoughtfully designed space that invites lingering over coffee and conversation. Their crepe and galette flights are a playful way to explore flavors, and the buckwheat options make this a particularly welcoming spot for anyone navigating gluten-free eating. Between the comfortable seating, carefully curated coffee selections, and authentic French pastries, it's a neighborhood gem that feels as much like visiting a friend's living room as it does discovering specialty coffee.”

The crepe flight was good and was the perfect size for our two small children to share. We attempted to order the latte flight, but were limited to a few flavors (no mocha, chair or matcha) so we decided to forgo the flight.
I felt the warmth the moment I walked in. They had the most comfortable chair— I didn’t want to get up! The breakfast area and dining space were really nice, and the whole place felt great. The owner and staff were very friendly, and the coffee was excellent. Definitely recommend!
Highly recommend if you crave authentic sweet and buckwheat crêpes (galettes)! Also -- If you have Celiac or are gluten-free, this should be on your list! Most buckwheat options are gluten-free and are labeled clearly on the menu. The owner and chef is a French lady. Met her and she was lovely. The service was equally great and quick! Will come back again!! Format is you order and pay first, get a number, sit anywhere (inside or out), and they find you and serve. Photos: 1- Sweet -- Au Sucre (with Lemon) 5- Sweet -- Banana with Nutella 2- Savory -- La Béchamel (not gluten-free) 3- Savory -- La Bergère (gluten-free) 1- Matcha Latte (medium)
A friendly cafe with a variety of crepes, galettes, and sandwiches, as well as coffees. They offered flights for crepes, coffee, and lemonade, which is pretty cool for those of us who can be indecisive with many delicious options! The food was pretty good, although I think we probably would’ve enjoyed one of the sweet crepe options better, but that’s a guest error and not one of the cafe- we had a panini and a galette, and the bread for the panini was really delicious. The lemonade flight was crafted with house-made syrups, and the blueberry was my favorite of the three.
Excellent food & bevg. Friendly staff. Gorgeous room in the back with seating. Enjoyable music. Extremely stylish, uncomparable vibe. Totally worth the 50 min walk. I orded the "tuti fruiti" crepe with a "lavender chai" flavored iced drink, both were equally amazing. I the crepe was so good that I ordered another for my cousin to try (if I don't eat it first). I can't forget to mention that when I got a glimpse of the back room it made me gasp with excitement. Overall 10/10
