The Times Bar & Coffee Shop
56 Patton Ave, Asheville, NC
Crema's Take
“Tucked into Asheville's downtown, this dual-identity gem transforms from an inventive coffee bar by day into an adventurous cocktail lounge by night, with bartenders crafting constantly rotating drinks that keep regulars coming back despite never quite knowing what they'll order. The vibe is genuinely cozy and unpretentious, with creative touches like their "Balln' on a Budget" menu option and a playful liquor selection that reflects the bartenders' personality and wit. Whether you're lingering over a slow coffee or catching up with friends over a signature cocktail, the attentive staff and thoughtfully designed space make it feel less like a transaction and more like a favorite local haunt.”

Loved this place. It has a quaint, cozy vibe. We loved the “Balln’ on a Budget” option on the menu.
Great atmosphere to grab a drink with friends! Love the decor & variety of drink options! We laughed at the fact they had a bottle of Malört on their liquor shelf.
My wife and I always come to this bar every single time we visit Asheville. The drinks are always changing and are always so good. 99% of the time I have no idea what I’m getting but I’ve never been disappointed with a drink. Prices are steep but the drinks and vibes are really nice. The y had some drinks with a heated rivalry theme that my wife enjoyed. Space is small but there is a little outdoor seating as well.
The Times is my and my husband's favorite bar in Asheville for many reasons. It is a coffee bar during the day with a mix of non-alcoholic and alcoholic options, and a bar/lounge at night. They only have snacks here, so eat before you come! The service is always amazing and the bartenders are all very knowledgeable mixologists. The locals who frequent the bar are all friendly, the decor and atmosphere is upscale but comfortable and inviting, and the cocktails are amazing with each seasonal menu change. They care about the quality of products that they serve and even offer a new top shelf option at cost each week, called their "break even bottle".
Best drinks in Downtown Asheville! Very chill vibe and the bartenders are very kind and attentive. If your downtown you have to stop by and check out there top notch drink menu! Everything we tried was amazing. the decor is on point, and it has outdoor seating as well as inside.
