Fish Tales Cafe

500 W Sunshine St, Springfield, MO

Crema's Take

Fish Tales Cafe offers a convenient spot for a casual meal within the Bass Pro Shops complex, serving up straightforward sandwiches and coffee drinks without the need to venture outside. While the atmosphere is clean and welcoming for families, the experience seems inconsistent—some visitors appreciate the reasonable prices and quick service, while others have encountered quality issues with both food preparation and value. It's best approached as a grab-and-go option for those already at the museum or aquarium rather than a destination for serious food lovers.

I didn't want to rate it so low. We opted out on the restaurant inside BP to get something maybe little cheaper for lunch. But the food in this place is just expensive and didn't get very much. We all ordered tacos. Shrimp tacos was really good but 2 wasn't filling. And also with the pull pork. The place is kept cleaned. Will grab something to eat next time before coming to the aquarium.

Ordered a sandwich , began eating it and found paper on the meat. The lady took the sandwich to be remade but never offered any compensation. The bright side is that they didn’t charge me for the extra fiber!

We were pleasantly surprised by the Restaurant - we have a membership for a couple years stopped by Fish Tales the first time this weekend. Did not realize the pizzas are individual sized we ended up with more than we had originally planned. Enjoyed the pizza, grilled cheese, and turkey avocado sandwich 🥪

I had to bounce between 2-3 stars. It was a hard choice in this case. The atmosphere is nice. It was clean. The customer service was great. BUT the food was not good. We paid about $70 for 4 people. I got a salad which ended up being littered with brown edges and my kids got a pizza which my little one and my fiancee commented wasn't as good as CiCis or Sams club. And my fiancee got a club sandwich which was meh. I decided we are going to McDonald's across the street before heading there from now on but there's 1 plus side to the cafe and they probably won't tell you which we didn't get till the second visit when I bought only drinks and nachos. You can get refillable cups to bring back every visit for free refills. The cups cost some money but they're worth it if you visit a lot.

Decent price and value for a quick bite (around $10 for panini and chips). Mostly sandwiches and drinks. Great way to have lunch without leaving the aquarium/museum/bass pro. Accessible without going to any of these places though. Has restrooms around the glass doors. Employees were helpful and didn't rush. Took same payment methods as bass pro/museum and aquarium.
