Crema's Take

La Baguette whisks you straight to a Parisian corner with its thoughtfully curated decor and atmospheric French music, making it equally perfect for a quick croissant grab or a leisurely brunch with loved ones. Their buttery pastries and traditional French fare like quiche and French onion soup are the real stars, though service can move at a leisurely pace that matches the leisurely European vibe. This is the kind of neighborhood spot where locals know to come for exceptional baked goods and a genuinely charming escape from everyday Colorado Springs.

Beautiful ambiance. I love how they decorated inside. Great service and delicious food (except for the turkey sausage, I've eaten turkey sausage in the past and this one is the worst, we could not eat it, highly discourage. Ended up ordering a different plate). Everything else was very tasty. I do recommend and will be back to try dinner plates.

Fun place to go due to the Parisian decor and ambiance. Service was fantastic; prices were fair. The food though....well, it's exceptional! Most locals know La Baguette for their to-go croissants and baguettes, but did you know that they make some of the best sandwiches in town? I also highly recommend their French onion soup. I'm not sure if it's the same owner, but the difference between this La Baquette and the one in OCC is night and day. The OCC (Colorado Ave) location is often dirty and lackluster.

A great place to go with friends, family or a special one! You feel immersed in a Parisian corner once you get in. Menu is vast and everything sounded delicious! Very hard to choose having so many delicious options. Vegans would probably have a hard time, but that’s French cuisine. 🌱Many great options for vegetarians!

TLDR: Good food, slow service. The ambience of the place is awesome. Very nice decorations that gives it its own personality. We ordered a croissant (which came approx 10 minutes after ordering), a croque madame and a (french onion) soup and sandwhich combo. It took at least 45-50 minutes (I clocked one hour from arrival) to get our main course from the time of sitting down. The place did have approximately 8 tables occupied, which accounts for about 1/3 of the seating space. With that said, I thought the wait was a little too long. The food itself was good, the bechemel sauce was baked with the sandwhich, so there was no actual sauce except on the bottom of the plate where they added a very small amount during plating. I know its standard operating procedure that places bake it after saucing, so no points dinged there, I just thought there could be a tiny bit more on the bottom of the plate when plating so that it had that "sauce" feel. The French onion soup was great. All in all, a great place that unfortunately had a longer wait time than expected and appropriate.

French onion soup excellent. Casserole and quiche delicious. We were one of 3 tables occupied at the time we visited, so it was a pleasent brunch. No noise except atmospheric French music playing lightly, so conversation was not a problem. Service was fast and friendly. We wanted dessert, but the breakfast filled us. We'll be back to treat ourselves to some cheesecake!
