Exceptionally friendly! Food was OMG delish!! We got a burger and a Rueben and wow! The fries though! The best!! What a gem in the heart of McKinney!
The wait wasn't too bad to get a table even though it's a smaller space, but the wait gor food was about 45 minutes! Our waitress had so many tables she wasn't super pleasant. Not awful just too rushed to care. The food was amazing! Best fried pickles I've ever had, the meatloaf sandwich was amazing and the burger was great! Skip the mashed potatoes- they gave zero flavor. Aside from that, it was great. I would recommend eating here.
The food was alright. My fiance's food came out cold, and severely underseasoned. My omelette came out piping hot, but my food also was underseasoned. The coffee was the best part of this cafe. It was delicious and I would absolutely recommend it. Another thing I experienced is although the menu says it is $0.50 to add a flavor to a coffee, I was charged $1.25. I did not mention this to my server, I paid my tab and left. I won't bother staff over 75 cents, I was just caught a bit off guard. Perhaps their prices have updated and she forgot to mention it to me. Either way, I am not sure if I would return for an almost 8 dollar coffee. The atmosphere was fantastic. I loved the look of it and it was lively but not too loud or crowded.
Waiter was not very welcoming, it was nice outside and inside but the food was okay definitely missing some seasoning and I would not try getting the enchiladas. Just a tortilla and some sauce on it, Not worth 18 dollars
Spoons Café - Downtown (McKinney) Nothing really to brag home about. Food was average, if you can qualify it as average. Home cooked meals taste better. Service was ok, not great. Came here with my family to enjoy a good lunch and service. They have a large picture of “D Magazine” claiming that they are good. That’s certainly not accurate. I did like the old feel to it, with old brick throughout interior. Made you feel like you stepped back in time. However, service was poor. As new customers were walking in, including my family, they would sit us down at a dirty table and ask if we wanted it wiped clean. That’s very unprofessional and I’m surprised the health department hasn’t paid them a visit. The pink rose cake looked very creative and delicious on the display. The old and foggy cover on it, wasn’t. It looked like it was purchased from Antique store. Food was very blend and average. Not sure in good faith I’d recommend this place.
