Crema's Take
“Tucked inside the elegant Hotel Peninsula, this luxurious café seamlessly blends a sophisticated hotel lobby atmosphere with serious coffee and pastry craft, making it equally at home for a leisurely holiday tea with champagne or a quick specialty drink between meetings. Their signature drinks lean creative and indulgent—think champagne-spiked seasonal teas and meticulously prepared matcha alongside excellent traditional espresso drinks—while their breakfast and brunch menu features standout eggs benedicts with silky housemade hollandaise that keeps regulars coming back. It's the kind of place where you can linger with family over fresh pastries and impeccable service without feeling rushed, or settle in for a proper coffee moment in surroundings that feel genuinely special.”

We had the holiday tea with champagne and it was terrific. It was however very heavy and while we normally can take quite a bit of lactose, we struggled in the end so be sure to have some lactose pills if you are slightly lactose intolerant just in case. Of course, they did ask if we had any dietary restrictions but we wanted to try it without any modifications so that's on us. The ambience is amazing with live music playing from the balcony and the service was impeccable.
I shared Christmas tea with my three sisters yesterday at the Peninsula. Very, very disappointed. We also went last year and I had hoped to make this an annual tradition. We had the four thirty seating. The bread on the finger sandwiches was so dried out, I have to believe they had been sitting out all day. The rest of the food didn’t really wow. At $200+ per person, I expected more. Needless to say, our tradition will have to continue elsewhere.
Aitchat aka Don provided an impeccable dining experiences for my special day - my birthday! The food, atmosphere, and service- chef's kiss! 💋
The Lobby is a restaurant located inside of the Hotel Peninsula. I strongly recommend it! Please try the The "Pen-edict" it’s a whole lobster tail, caviar, toasted croissant, truffle hollandaise, poached eggs, shaved truffle. It’s in a category all by itself! My husband had the spa breakfast. Atichat our server and great personality and service made our breakfast extra special.
This restaurant is stunning. A real treat for breakfast and lunch. I've enjoyed both and my pictures are from both meals. The eggs benedict are freshly prepared with an excellent hollandaise sauce. My favorite lunch is the tandoori chicken. I would definitely call this an Indian fusion interpretation rather than true tandoori chicken. But let's skip authenticity, the dish is absolutely amazing!!!
